Chimera Hunter

Now question, this is the first time that iam using an airbrush, but i used my airbrush for a couple hours and then the airbrush start to spit water, why is that and how i stop it?

You need to be using an inline moisture trap and also, make sure when you turn the compressor off, you're engaging the air on the brush, so that air is coming out as the compressor is shutting down. This will cut down on moisture build up in the tank.

I am really loving the scheme color of your armor, do you mind if I ask what you used to get the darker effect with your copper or did you put the copper on after the darker shades? I always seem to smear my paints backwards ruining the effect on armor.

Hi, Demascus, what i did was:

1) Painted base black
2) Gun Metal Silver
3) Antique Gold
4) Copper

First two color applied with a sponge, and the last two with a thin brush and the i will rub the paint with my finger, that how i gave that effect to the armor. I hope this help..

Now a teaser, with my old mask. I kinda like this bright colors on my suit, still have to make more details on my painting but this is what i did so far... what you guys think....????

Damn dude,

I am really diggin this color scheme so far. I think the copper and motled blue/grey hues on the armor is going to play well with the yellow tone on the skin. Its a really nice balance, very complimentary. If you keep adding accents in the polished silver colors, that is going to look proper for sure. I would love to see some natural light pics on this when you can take them. Nice work. o_O

Thanks Billy, but iam still hesitated about the yellow color, i think is a "little" too bright, so i will need some sugestions ffrom the elders hunters on how can i bring this bright color a little down in tone... any help out there??? Lee? Scott (MoW)? Andrew? Anybody ??

Thanks for the quick tips, that might actually help me out a lot with the repaint I'm doing on my bio. Your awesome.

Wish I could provide you some help with toning down the yellow but like I said before, paint just doesn't seem to be my area, Good luck with finishing it up. I'm sure some one will have answers.

wow buddy, i didn't even realize this was your thread the first time i looked at it!! lookin ****** awesome dude!! really like the armor colors, looks amazingly real.

and as for the skin... i'd say just take whatever yellow color you used for the skin, add some white, and just a drop or two of brown (brings down the intensity in a very subtle way) and just kinda start in the middle of the yellow areas and work your way out towards the darker tones, starting heavy and gradually less the closer you get to the edges, if that makes sense maybe even add some real subtle veining before you do that so the veins will appear "under" the skin really diggin it though buddy can't wait to see it finished!!

The armor looks great. The way the skin is right now its very separated and there is no blending to it. It just goes from the dark brownish/green color straight into the yellowish color. Can't wait to see what you do with it.
