Have to say it was a wonderful feeling entering the exhibit for the first time, there was a mile long queue for Vader but most of them left their place to follow me as I made my way to the AT-ST. I was like the messiah!!

As well they should you are the Messiah. LOL thumbsup

Fibreglass underskull

The mask was cast in platsil gel 10, really great stuff, takes hair punching really well.

Things to do:
1. Add some highlights to the mask, shorten brow hair
2. Add some more brown to the waist
3. On the next mask, add some deadner to the platsil around the lips to make them softer for lip snarl
4. Paint lips with brown/maroon acrylic ink or silicone pigment (was just using lipstick :lol)
5. Matt the overall costume down to stop the hair flowing while walking, trim upper arms slightly

The mask was a hell of a lot more intense work than I thought it would be, the next one will be easier, think I've weeded out most of the mistakes!

Have some pics somewhere must dig them out!

The entire face is punched with a crown punch needle so every hair has it's own follicle, no ugly plugs! Approx 10 hours of work!
The back of the head is a mesh cowl, same as the suit, latch hooked!
Hair is sealed at the back with more platsil and hot glued to the fibreglass.

Still trying to find decent shots of me in costume, the arena was very dark and kanekalon does not like FLASH at all :confused, plus the hair was a bit wayward to say the least, nothing a bath of hairspray couldn't fix!

After I have modified the head a little more and made an OT version, I'll be building a C3PO backpack too!
I have received a vacuformed head and feet from Starbuck and ordered the other armour parts from TK409, hoping to double it up as a wearable costume for a fellow garrison member!
