Cheapo homemade dread rings/beads

Made these rings from water pipe. A bit of dremel work and stanley knife trimming and a lick of paint and this is this end result. Not beautiful I know but made for next to nothing.

Let me just assume that there's a picture and that it looks nice so I can say: "nice!!!"


I made my dread rings from plumbing stuff. short pieces of tube connectors or something like that (actually, I don't even know what those things are for, I found them at the hardware store). Made from copper, so they weigh down the backer rods nicely, plus they have the copper look and the exact fitting diameter to go on the rods.

Hey that came out nice! I think all you need is a little aging on it.. That will give it a very realistic look.
