Channel Zero - Candle Cove

Is anyone else watching this? It's a new TV show on the Sci Fi channel, based on the creepypasta Candle Cove.

While most of the more mainstream creepypastas aren't even scary anymore and many have their own rivals or opposite sex version to the point its well...beyond redundant. This one has kind of had me fascinated with it since first hearing/reading/listening to and or about it. The show itself, I actually find it pretty creepy and almost I dare say, Steven King-esque type quality. Maybe not Stranger Things King-esque, but still. I know it's only two episodes in but I really like it so far.

Anyways, being October and all or horror fans alone, check it out.

I follow a lot of his story breakdown vids, but never really looked much into what he did on this.

Tell you what there's some creepypastas that with a little polish are way better than half the stuff we get from the mainstream hollywood people. Just goes to show that they don't always know what fans think are scary.

Yes, he is co creator and executive producer on it.


I looked more into it and each season will be a different Creepypasta. In an interview, Landis mentions wanting to do kind of a "best of the best" of them. I hope it means they won't just do the now, IMO bland-done-to-death 'pastas. The next one is already been picked as well, but I can't remember the name. It isn't Slenderman or Jack the Killer though. I wasn't familiar with the name, I need to look it up again.

As much as this is for fans, if you don't know the source material, that's a cool way to watch it for sure.

My wife doesn't know anything about it, is creeped out by it plenty lol. Me too actually and I do know it lol.
