IMO There is no way anyone here can safely determine exactly what each and every licensee/sor will or will not tolerate. There is wide diversity in what they consider a serious infringement.
In the Junkyard, the seller determines what he wants to sell. So basically the seller "owns" the post. He is responsible for content. We figure he has more knowledge about what he is offerring to sell and therefore must personally determine and assume any risk in his offerrings.
If we were to make the JY viewable only to membership, then it would suggest that the entire membership of the RPF was sheltering or hiding things from licensee/sors. With the JY openly viewable, then any issue a licensee/sor may have with an item offerred for sale can be directed to the person selling the item.
Occassionally this will happen. Our members contacted by licensee/sors have been very responsive and co-operative with any concerns.
Also one of the main attractions to joining the RPF is the JY. Non-members cannot easily contact most sellers in the JY. Internal email and messaging systems perks are member privleges.
