Celebrity jerks?

I agree, Lou Ferrigno is the one celeb, I had issues with. I worked for a Non-Profit and it was my job to ask Celebs if they would donate to Charity, well he was the only one that ever said no, in quiet a rude way.

My favorite: Eddie McClintock, I met him the first time at D*C 2010, he signed an autograph for my daughter that was with me for free. Then at NYCC I saw him again and told him that my daughter was sad she could not be there. He remembered her cause she was dressed as Black Canary at D*C. So he asked what she was doing and I told him, she was at the Longhorns Football game. He was like "you know my wife went to UT, let's call you daughter" I was like "what?" and he said again "Call you daughter" so I did and he took my phone from me and talked to her on the phone. So yeah Eddie rules.

Yes, Eddie did that for a couple people here at ECCC. Really shocked people and made a lot of days.

I've only had the opportunity to talk to a few "celebrities" even though they're only Voice Actors, I met Vic Mignogna at Colossal Con 2011, he seemed to be a genuinely nice guy , they were going to cut off the line on the autograph session because time was up since they had a certain amount of time for each autgraph session and he actually stayed after a good 30 minutes or more to finish autographing things for everybody that was in line, my mother however is convinced he's a jerk because he apparently almost ran her over and then denied it.

I also got to meet Todd Haberkorn at Colossal Con 2011, he seemed nice too, though were as Vic was actually moving out from behind the table for pictures and interacting with the fans and having conversations , Todd seemed to not care as much he just kinda leaned over the table and then you had to hurry up and snap the picture.

I also met Rosearik Rikki Simons and his wife at Ohayocon 2010 ( I think it was) , Mr. Simons voices Gir from Invader Zim and he was a genuinely nice person he even put up with the fact that instead of managing to actually reply I most of the time only managed a squeak because I was soo shy and horrible at talking to people at the time, he even asked me where I got my awesome Gir hoodie ( I had on one of the ones from Hot Topic that was the green with the black sleeves and had the hood with the gir ears ) and said my outfit was cute ( I was wearing the hoodie zipped up and had black pants and black shoes on , it was my unintentionaly Gir outfit), al in all he was really sweet, I bought a picture off of him of Gir to get signed and he signed it "Ride the pig Lexy".

I also at Ohayocon "met", well tried to talk to a VA from Fullmetal Alchemist , I think I was the woman who voices Envy , I can't remember for sure , and I asked her something during the panel and she acted like she was p*ssed that she even had to be there let alone actually talk to the fans , though it could have just been she was having a bad day, becasue it was supposed to be a FMA panel with all of the VA's from the show that were going to be attending and it was only her and Aaron Dismuke that actually were there for that panel.

I tried getting an autograph from Aaron Dismuke at Ohayocon but I went home from that convention without an autograph even though he was one of the main reasons I wanted to go in the first place, but the whole con was organized horribly, there would be one panel that was supposedly in one place only to get there and find out that it was actually at the comeplete other end of the building, and the autograph sessions were only 1 a day and only for 15 minutes and they filed the first so many people in and they were sat in seats and then called up by rows and after the doors closed you were pretty much assured to not get an autograph.

Well, You do get the award for the longest sentences ever! My brain hurts reading that! LOL..........

Fellow RPF oldtimers, our JediVic is all growed up--he's apparently a celebrity now! :)

Everyone I've met at Cons have been super nice with the exception of Cary Elwes. When we arrived we were told that he was not doing pictures (I'm not an autograph person) but then changed his mind (I assume because his line emptied.) He wasn't notably rude, really. I just tend to become horribly awkward when I meet celebrities that have been favorites since childhood. He seemed annoyed and dismissive. Totally broke my heart :cry
I wish I could go back and cross out all the I :love C.W. off my Trapper Keepers.

Met him at the airport for a convention years ago, can't even remember which one now. Just another guy. He spotted me, actually, because I was wearing a RPF shirt that he designed (remember those days?!?). We chatted for about half an hour and then went off to find our planes. Cool guy.

These are cool celebs.

Richard Hatch --Battle Star Galactica (Apollo). Enjoys chatting and Thumb Wrestle

Doug Jones -- Hell Boy Gives you his FULL attention and smiles

Jonathon Frakes--Star Trek TNG. He is very cool and asks you about your day and is happy to spend time with you.

Adam West --Batman, smiles and gives you his dry wit.

Joyce Dewitt -- Threes Company. Just a wonderful person.

Burt Ward, Yvonne Craig, Julie Newmar, Lee Meriwether are all great folks and enjoy chatting with fans.

Through my line of work I've had a chance to talk to many celebs (movies and TV, rarely music), and so I get asked this a lot. I've narrowed it down to the absolute best and the absolute worst; there are lots of nice and not nice folks in the middle LOL.

Best? Angelina Jolie - so down to earth, very cool, and so absolutely hypnotizing she could give you a pair of hedge clippers and tell you to lop off a pinky and you'd think it was a great idea.

Tied for best: Robert Downey Jr. - Just so damn cool, what's there to say.

Worst? Nathan Lane. One of the bitterest old queens you'll ever have the misfortune of interviewing.

We met Doug Jones at the Chicago Con this past weekend. Guy totally blew my mind how nice and attentive he was. Made me a fan for sure!

For the Brits - i've been a fan of the Manic Street Preachers for years and I finally me them in 2010 on their US tour. They were some of the coolest, most gracious people I've ever met.

Met Tim Robbins on the set of "Noise" in NYC...Very tall, I approached him as Mr.Robbins. I walked over and told him stories that I work for the NY Daily News and every time Shawshank is on we all watch it. He laughed and said "cool, I like your paper" We also talked about how amazing the score to that movie was...I thanked him for his time shook his hand and that was it. Def very cool person

I met Carl Weathers once and wasn't impressed. I joked something like, "Hey, are you going to run for office too?" And he looked at me like I was crazy. I said, "Well... Arnold and Jesse Ventura were governors and Sonny Landham (Billy from Predator) is running for Governor in Kentucky.... so... I just..." and then he looked past me at the next person in line and that was the end of our conversation.

Back in another "life," I used to run a DVD review site. For awhile, as a joke, a ran a series of fake banner ads on the site promoting the "Predator Trifecta" - a campaign to get Carl Weathers elected as governor somewhere (anywhere).

Well, after a few months of this running, I get an e-mail. It is apparently from Weathers' agent. I have no idea how (it's not like my site was all that high profile), but I guess someone showed my fake ads to Carl. I was told Carl got a huge laugh out of them, but was concerned someone would take them seriously, so his agent asked me to remove them from my site.

At some point after that he did his "I was the black guy in Predator" skit on SNL.

So apparently he has *some* sense of humor about the whole political / Predator thing (and then with Sonny Landham running for office... there must have been something in the air on that set).

Val Kilmer was a severe tool.

Blonde haired guy from Dukes of Hazzard was a kinda a d*** as well.

Nobody was at Marcia Wallaces(Bob Newhart Show, Mrs. Crabapple from Simpsons) table so I guess she was annoyed by the lack of interest. I went to speak to her and tell how much I enjoyed the BNS and she gave me a look like she was going to stab me in the neck with a ball point pen. It was a 3 day show and she was not there for autographs on the second and third day.

Colin Ferguson, Bruce Campbell, Norman Reedus, Iron e Singleton, Debra Foreman, Peter Davidson, Sean Astin and John Rhys-Davis were at our show Fandomfest this year. All class acts.

Colin Ferguson was just like he is on the show. An overall nice guy.
Bruce has the shows down pat. Takes a different pose with everyone during photo ops.
Norman is just plain cool. My wife drove him to and from the airport and joked with him about all the weird stuff fans give him. He really loves his fans.
IronE is just nice guy. Likes to hug. Is very grateful to his fans and where he is right now.
Peter Davidson is true gentleman. We has a long talk about All creatures great and small.
Sean Astin loves his fans. My wife took Sean to the Louisville zoo. He got to feed a newborn giraffe and sent on an elephant leg for a photo op. He said it was one of the most memorable moments of his life.
John Rhy-Davis has some of the best stories you will ever here. Loves his fans and will spend quality time with each and every one of them.

Looking forward to meeting him next weekend at Fan Expo! I wish Peter Davidson (and for that matter the rest of the living Doctors) would make a trip to a Toronto Con. I would love to meet all those guys!

Peter Davidson was never in All Creatures nor is he a surviving or dead Doctor.
Peter Davison on the other hand...

I hear this makes him pretty snakey as it was misspelt on his introduction as the Fifth Doctor by a certain associated mag.

Keith david , billy dee williams and Adam west have got to be 3 of the biggest Jerks I have ever met. I'm a chef and had the opportunity to work at a charity event where keith david happen to be a guest. When I tried to aproach him, I told him I loved dead presidents and how funny he was in "Theres something about mary" He just scoffed me and told me to "do your job and serve me" What an a%%hole!

Billy Dee had me removed from the fans wanting to get an autograph, becasue I had a colt 45 in my hand to get signed by him. No explanation given. I was just asked to leave. come to find out he had a deal gone sour between him and the company according to another fan there.

Adam West...I was at a con waiting in line to meet Walter Koening to express my condolences for the death of his Son Andy and it just so happened the line was all the way to Adams booth I was tapped by his security and was asked to "Move out of Mr West's View" I said: man I'm in line here! "regardless....you are blocking his view" I look at west and burt ward and said are you listeningto this? west just looked at me like I was an idiot and burt just turned his head away.
On the other hand I have met other celebrities that have been so f'ing cool.
Danny Trejo
Samuel L Jackson
Robert Rodriguez
Lou Ferrigno ...I know some of you say he's a dick but when I met him it was right after "I love you Man" I asked If I could take a pic with him putting me in a "sleeper hold"
and he agreed! proceded to do it and then grabbed a ton of disinfectant! LOL he told me it was nothing personal he's just a germophobe. I was cool with that.
Anthony anderson was cool as F!
Brian Steele ..one of the must humble guys you will ever meet
Kevin Nealon:funny guy

Danny Trejo

Danny is one cool guy he lives around in the San Fernando Valley and goes to a lot of small classic car shows, ran into him numerous times. Always signs a ton of autographs for the kids takes pictures with anyone. He and I ended up talking about how they did the knives effect in desperado for like 10 minutes one time. Probably the nicest dude in the world.
