Casino Royale Holster

Ive been looking for information on the holster Daniel Craig wears in CR, and I found this link to the collector who owns it:

http://www.yourprops.com/view_item.php?movie_prop=9816#

Then I found it for sale here:

http://www.usahuntingsupplies.com/detail.aspx?ID=4498

Pretty cheap...

The description of the prop says it was custom made, but the one for sale looks right on the money, except its a little lighter suede. I ordered one, and you specify that its for the p99.

Its by Vega of Italy.

So there you go.

A little brown dye and you too can have a "custom" holster. :p
Nice find, though. :thumbsup

The illustration of the Vega holster is so high-contrast that I wouldn't be surprised if the suede turns out to be much closer in color.

Ill let everyone know when I get it. Now all I need is the maruzen p99 and a silencer, and Ill be cooking with grease...

Or maybe it gets darker as it ages. Im sure they wanted it to look used and distressed. Anyway you cant go wrong for under 20 bucks.

Do we know if for the nonguns in the movie they used any replica comerically available or were they all rubber props made in house?

Dan

Well, after a bit of a wait i got my holster in. My airsoft P99 fits in perfectly.)

And there we are.

Anyone know how I can get hold of one of these in the UK. I've trawled the net with no joy and the US companies don't seem to want to ship them to the UK - I've e-mailed for rates but no reply..

Any help you guys can give is greatly appreciated

i swear im not nitpicking, but that p99 you have there is the newer second gen p99s........... he uses the first gen style in the movie....

that holster does look pretty dead on close

Thanks Terryr, I have seen it, tried contacting them, but they haven't replied to any e-mails and don't do online sales.

Never thought it would be so hard to get one of these..

What scene do we see the holster in? I just watched the movie again and it seemed like there was always a silencer on the P99.

Agreed - that's the P99 Compact (CS) I think.

I'd seen some caps or stills of it clearly showing in the opening chase when he is climbing up a gantry or crane structure.

For that matter, does anyone have the picture of the original prop anymore? It doesn't appear on the web site anymore. :(

Nope, its not the compact, its just the new version of the P99 (not the original one that they use in the Bond Movies). Same size, just updated design. Could be wrong on the year...but i think the new ones started in 2004/05...

Yeah, pretty much. Smith & Wessen bought Walther USA and now produce the P99 for the US market...and they made their own modifications to the original design. Don't know why cus I really don't like it at all. All original German model is the only way to go. A friend of mine just got a '97 model, which is the first year it was produced. Excellent weapon.

The Smith & Wesson one is not the same as the version 2 (if you will) of the Walther P99. Smith & Wesson did a partnership with Walther for their P99 clone. Walther still has its own version, which was updated independently for its "version 2" which is what's being sold now by Walther.

The Walther P99 is worth the extra money to me over the Smith & Wesson P99.
