Re: Cardboard Specialist: Iron Man Skill Builds Mk 6 and more!

Ancient Chinese Secret? Fareal??/ Hey here's another update on this build its going fast Im almost done with the suit after 2 weeks off and on. Now i'm ready for fiberglassing and Bondo bodywork. This MK6 Will be 10 times better than the rest of them. The first time I made this I really didn't know what i was doing It was my first time and, Well' you saw the result. 3 years and several projects later I'm pretty good at making them now. Anyway here's the MK6 Pics , MK 47 pics in a couple of days..Keep building!....:thumbsup

Re: Cardboard Specialist: Iron Man Skill Builds Mk 6 (update!) MK 47 soon!

Nice work man. Your and Stealth's vids were a huge help for my suit last Halloween. By huge help it wouldn't have happened with you guys. Do you make your suits with the "inner brace" for the chest/back? I did not make that for my build (foam) and it seemed to work fine. What is that piece really even used for, support/easier time to mount Arc reactor?

Re: Cardboard Specialist: Iron Man Skill Builds Mk 6 (update!) MK 47 soon!

Yeah, you dont need it. Its only used if you dont really add padding to your suit. But some builders use it anyway. I am keeping this one for myself. I want to come as close to the Maquette Im statue as possible because it has the best features. I hope you keep building, I love to see new guy's build with talent.

Re: Cardboard Specialist: Iron Man Skill Builds Mk 6 (update!) MK 47 soon!

I think it's time for an update...Sorry guy's I have a crazy schedule and I wish I could work as fast as STEALTH, but I have been working slow to get my other suits made. I'm freehanding this Mark 42 back and chest because I started it out that way and I can peg it to my specification. it's a million piece puzzle JK". With 95% done there are a few more tweaks I need to do to finish it. I am trying to be as accurate & detailed as humanly possible to produce this MK 42 as you probably can tell for the movie and for builders here to enjoy. I should be done soon! But as far as the rest of this build I will be using the colab files of jackieisrockin, Gaiatron, Ironmaided, streetsoul for the paper versions. If there's anyone else I forgot to mention sorry, you guy's did a "great job on this project. This was the hardest Freehand build yet because of the details!...But with the files that are out I will be rockin' this baby in no time! Here's two, the other one is up for sale when they are completed. Should be pretty easy from here! Keep Building!....enjoy!:thumbsup

Your work is impressive. Is there any reason you are switching between foam and cardboard? In your years of building, which material works better overall?

Didn't switch, foam is much more easy to work with and fun!. I've always used both.:)

Re: Cardboard Specialist: Iron Man Skill Builds Mk 42 (update!) Chest and Back!

My foam build looked really good, until I shot paint at it. I gotta find a better way to seal it. Also, the other thing was painting areas with multiple colors.
