whats the reasoning behind ths? why would it be more awesome?
EVA foam is by far the easiest material to work with, this on the other hand is a pretty hard material to get to look good.

I know. Im just saying it cos if he can do this on card boards,EVA foam will be easier for him. And he can do a lot more. because,like you said, EVA foam is the "easiest" material to work with. that's the reason behind this. And i just said "great job". i think i did appreciate the awesome job. i'm not insulting him. I should've just said "wow!! good job" instead. Oh,well....Next time.

I have to admit, I opened this thread cynically. I mean a cardboard Robocop build? Then, I saw the stack of Pizza Hut boxes. Come on. But, wow. Just wow. I was SO wrong. I'm amazed at what you've been able to do. Can't wait to see more updates on this. :thumbsup

There's still a learning curve ta using any type of material i think that meathead is partial ta using cardboard he's pretty familiar /w/ using it. EVA foam isn't easier just simpler than pepakura th' patterns have bigger pieces. People that are really good /w/ pep have found that foam is a better alternative as far as it's cheaper however you trade lasting durability for a quicker build.

Thanks for your kind words. Ive been working with cardboard since i was a kid and love it as its si versitile and its FREE! Hopefully Ill finish the suit this time!
The plan after all parts are built and detailed is to cover the whole suit inside and out with polyurethane resin prior to painting.
As for progress I tried all the pieces on and wasnt happen with some parts...
Ive made the torso about 4cm narrower (shoulder to shoulder) and now the thighs look too large
This is good though as i wasnt 100% happy with them anyway.
I have remeasured my neca model and made new templates for each thigh and duplicated for the other leg too. All parts (3 per thigh x 2 for strength) are cut out ready to be glued together which im hoping i can do later tonight (after some christmas shopping)
