Captain Proton Props

Awhile ago, I had posted links to photos of my Rocketeer helmet and my Tommy Raygun had been in the picture as well which sparked a bit of interest. So I thought I'd post a few pictures of the props I had built to create my Captain Proton costume.

First, the costume-

Now the equipment-

The Rocketpack-

The Raygun -which was used as the model for castings you may have seen from time to time-

And a little extra firepower I believed the charater would have used-

The majority of the material used to build these items were of my favorite medium, cardboard. I won't lie and say it's entirely of cardboard, since there is some wood and plastic involved, too, but not much.

That is a great selection of props. Still amazed at the look of the Proton Tommy-gun. Do you have a build details or pics you would like to share?

Fantastic collection there...
Bravo!

You DO resemble Tom Paris a bit too ;)

Sadly, I don't have any pics as I built the Proton Tommy-gun. And it was a rather complicated build that's difficult to descibe without them. But I can tell you the materials used were a found egg shape found at a surplus store, a cardboard tube, plywood, dowel, cardboard stock and lots of white glue.

you really need to keep track of your builds man. alot of your stuff is too cool and seeing how those materials worked together to make that great peice would make it even more awesome.

You're right about documenting my builds. I didn't have a decent camera at the time when I had built these, so I didn't take any photos. But I am thinking on scetching up some illustrations on my AutoCAD that may be of help if folks are really interested.

Wow Your jacket is Perfect did you make it or find it some where?

I apologize.:$ Fatigue had been setting in and my mind read jetpack instead of jacket for some odd reason.

Yes, the jacket was a found item after many visits to thrift stores searching for something that would work. When I found this one, and it had fit, I could barely contain myself. The length was a bit long, but I had hemmed it up to it's current length. I had also added the fabric cuffs to the sleeves after dyeing them from white to brown.

Very nice. I really like the Proton Pistol.
In Voyager there was another Pistol that Buster Kincaid (Harry) used, and a 3rd version that was to be used by Tuvok but didn't get screentime as the Tuvok Proton character wasn't used in the final script.
