I cannibalized some capgun grips and and going to build up on them.

all Ive got is the Taito version and a resin kit that was apparently cast
from the Taito version.
Id really like to get the Vice Version but they are mighty expensive.,
it comes in 2 versions. one is metal with all moving parts and another is a cast version

The Merushin version, is WAY overpriced for its scale and lack of QC,., Its even smaller than the Taito version

alternatively you can search for "Kosumodoragun" I find some japanese auctions searching for that. as well as some miniatures.
and Denix is just now offering the Dragoon again. its a ,49' instead of a 48', and it has a tacky etching of a Cavalry officer on horseback on the cylinder :angry,

This post is going to be picture heavy but I haven't posted much of my progress here as of late and this is the result.
here are the rough sculpted chamber covers which will be anded and filled tomorrow once the paper clay has cured.
The cocking lever that goes below the barrel.
The first barrel out of the mold, cleaned up and given a coat of paint to see how it looks
And the second barrel with its future owners name on it

Hey I decided to go with modding a Denix 1849 dragoon replica.

but in my research I found a site that sells replica Dragoon parts.
things like the grips. the back strap and the triggerguard.
none too expensive.
figured Id post it in case you wanted to do another or upgrade if you can.
they have parts for all 3 models. but I believe we are looking at a model 1 base
Dixie Gun Works muzzleloading, blackpowder and rare antique gun supplies.

Hey Ketariniii awesome work on the Dragoon! I was wondering if you had any info on the skull sabre, I am working on making one but I have no idea what is behind the skull.

Nice work! This guy is definitely the best ray pistol out there. I am looking to redo mine in the future (I built mine up from a 1860's dragoon). If you compare the 1848 dragoon to the Matsumoto study of the Cosmo Dragoon, you will find that Matsumoto shortened the body somewhat and made the handle a bit smaller. Anyway, I really look forward to seeing this guy completed.
