Captain America!

The kids playing with the star-spangled garbage can lid at the end in the streets of Brooklyn is a straight-up nod to the deleted scenes with the little girl that's only glimpsed at the end playing The Rocketeer.

:thumbsup

i think i was the only person that got excited during that scene :lol

there were a few other nods as well........when the dvd comes out, i will write some down.....the most obvious one was the kids playing at the end and the airplane crash scene and the photograph of his lady luck :)

im pretty sure the majority of the people hasnt seen the deleted scene of the rocketeer.....soooo basically, it has two kids playing. The girl Patsy is the rocketeer and some random boy is a bad guy. It starts off with a shadow on a car. The shadow gives off this "Lothar look" with a gun in his hands.....You hear Patsy yell Rocketeer to the rescue and swing down from the tree to knock the little boy. Then she chases him which you see in the final cut of the film........there you go.....

some say Howard Stark was a nod to Howard Hughes.....

Emil Blonsky in Incredible Hulk seems more agiile w/ low dose of Super Soldier Serum before transforming into Abomination than Steve Rogers in this movie....anybody else notice this?

I think they had another concoction of serum that Blonski took. When they changed Rogers into Cap there was only one vial left then it spilled out

could that have been the vial that can make him agile like blonsky after blonsky's 1st low dose of serum?

Not sure. I need to watch Hulk again n see which colors they use. The one that spilled was blue. I haven't watched Hulk in like a year

I just checked the numbers at boxofficemojo.com - not sure if this movie would now be considered a hit or miss considering ticket sales have yet to reach the production budget, even with international sales included.

The super soldier serum used in Hulk cannot be the same as the serum that Steve received as the formula died with Dr. Erskine. At least this is what should be.

Loved CA! I saw the Pre-premiere film and everyone waited around till after the credits and........NOTHING! I guess the trailer was not included. Saw the trailer online though.

I rank CA up with the best of the Marvel films. I would have it tied with IM.

So, since a biofrost opened up when Red Skull held the cube with his bare hands, then Red Skull is not dead, just transported to another part of the tree. I was thinking this when he evaporated and when Cap said that he was dead. So, he'll probably show up in Avengers.

Not the same serum, but they've been working the past 70 years to duplicate it.

Now early in this thread people mentioned the Winter Soldier ref - what was that? cause *spoiler* I seem to recall Bucky becoming a smear on the side of a mountain.

There were a couple nods him using a sniper rifle and wielding the shield etc.......... They were all brief, but very well done.

Don't know if he will be in The Avengers, but he certainly isn't dead. I hope he stays out of the Avengers and comes back for Captain America 2 personally as his grudge with cap has always been on a much more personal level.

And it deserves another film or ten to properly portray that.

I just got out of work for the week and have the weekend off. My gf, brother, and best friend are going to see this in a few hours. I cannot wait!!!! :)
