Andor S2 Filming locations

As the title suggests I was in London this week and thought I'd share a few of the locations around the area. I have seen it discussed on other sites but not really here.

My idea was to start my journey once in London Paddington to travel to Canary wharf via the new Elizabeth Line then head up to City then jump across to The Barbican. I only had the afternoon and that's quite a trek on trains and foot but I gave it a go.

Coruscant.

Canary Wharf underground station
Full of Chrome Alluminium and hard edges is a perfect shoot for Andor and before that Rogue One.

Next stop was to look for the walkway Bridge where Dedra and Syril have a heated and is the entrance to the ISB.
Now this was a bit fun and games and after walking round Canary Plaza which was fruitless searched online and found it's a tricky one to find as it's below ground level under the DLR train line but I eventually found it.

And what's inside the walkway I hear you cry..

Only a Kubrick inducing technicolour marvel!

Next up was where Cassian and Bix escape after they blow up that evil dude
This was again under the DLR but West India dock I think I was a bit turned around at this point.

Next was a half hour trip to Ghorman/City of London

Then as time was getting on a trip to one of my favourite Brutalist buildings.. The Barbican.
My video won't load but Cassian walks down here..

Coruscant walkway/Barbican residential area

Amazing how little or just snippets of this expansive area they used.
The lifts alone have SciFi written all over them.

There are more places I need to visit here like where Vera and Kleia have a heated dedate as well as where Kleia meets Luthen.

Luckily my phone survived after my Plug exploded in the hotel that night!

I lived near to the Greenham common/Rogue one Hanger so fancy a visit there too..

Ah, I used to work in Canary Wharf and would walk across that bridge during the summer to eat lunch in the East-West garden at the top of the Elizabeth line station while they were still finishing the lower levels. They do a very nice lights festival there.

I live very close to Greenham Common now too - I go there for walks after going to the big Tesco!

This is the other nearby Andor S1 location - see if you can figure it out from the satellite view!

Was it the courtroom steps maybe ?
How close can you get to the silos, I used to drive past the perimeter road down to Thatcham crossroads.

How close can you get to the silos, I used to drive past the perimeter road down to Thatcham crossroads.

Yes, the prison shuttle area - this is at a college in Wallingford just up the road in Oxfordshire.

As for the Greenham silos, here are a couple of pictures I took when there were reports that Andor was filming up there. I came maybe a day after it was in the local news but it looked like they had all packed up and gone by then.

Ha! that's quite apt regarding Wallingford considering in real life it had quite the high crime rate a few years back.

To look at it it's a sleepy little village kind of always reminded me of Hot Fuzz, well full of Country folk anyway.
