Captain America!

I saw it today and really enjoyed it. I was standing outside in the lobby afterwards waiting on my friend to finish in the bathroom and was wearing my SSR shirt, and noticed people looking at me with a "Hey, that looks familiar" look as they came out of the theater. :lol

I had the same thing happen with my SSR shirt :lol I was doing my business at the urinal and some guy kept looking at me and I was getting a little creeped out until he said he was staring at the wing on my sleeve and realized it was the SSR shirt.

So that's the cube from the end of Thor huh? What was that energy that it made right before it fell? Looked like a bifrost opening for a sec

I'm wondering if Red Skull showed what they'll play with for bad guys in Thor, I can't remember the end of Hulk that well, but with Iron Man there are only flashes of light and the fights are over so maybe Loki rescues Obadiah Stane or Vanko or both in anticipation.

I took my son to go see it last night! He loved it! The theater took pictures of him and made him feel all special and important.

Highlight of his young life I do believe. :)

Truly a movie you can takes your kids to as well.

Yes, I saw it twice (once in 3D). Well worth watching... but the cuts are so quick it's hard to make much out.

Isn't it against motion picture law to NOT run the full credits?? Even if everyone left the theater?

Yes, it opened a path between the worlds like the Bifrost.

I can't say enough how much I absolutely LOVED this film. To me, it was pitch perfect all the way around. I'm also proud to say that I triggered the cheers after the Avengers teaser! ;)

Totally FONDOOSOME!

See it again if you can! Support the film! How much did it make during opening weekend? Last I heard, it beat Deathly Hallows Pt 2 (with all due respect: I like the Harry Potter films). How does the Capt America opening weekend revenue compare with Thor, Iron Man 2 and Green Lantern?

It was weird seeing Bison as Dugan, kinda threw me off lol

Loved it. My exposure to Cap in the comics has been pretty much limited to Secret Wars, where he was really square and bossy. I didn't know if that was a fair representation, but that was my impression of the character. (I read it for Spidey and Spidey alone.)

I didn't have that problem in the film. I like this guy.

Love the retro-futuristic tech of Hydra.

Inconsequential nits:
They knew Berlin was one of the targets of Hydra. No way the Allies would've passed up the opportunity to let Hitler and Hydra soften each other up for them.

The shield: Stark dismisses it as a prototype, but then says it uses up all of that metal that exists in the world. How were they supposed to make the final version, then? What were those other shields made of?

Let me guess. You're the leading male comic book hero #344, right?

Steve Rogers: Just give me a chance-

Cut the crap Steve. Tell us a story about your father. You know? The one who you either never got to know him, never got to resolve the bad tensions between the two of you, or how you're constantly living under his shadow. You can't be the hero of this movie unless you have daddy issues. Green Lantern decided to throw in those issues out of thin air, and now look at how awesome he's doing!..... You're not going to tell us any stories about your father, are you?.....

OH! I know! You're a jerk! A big time jerk! You're arrogant, disrespectful, womanizing, and you don't give a crap about any of your friends! You're a complete a**hole who thinks only of himself! Admit it Steve, you loath every thing that isn't you!...... you mean you don't? This is getting awkward. You don't have daddy issues, you're a pretty decent fellow, and to top it off, you're an interesting character!

*PASS*

Now, Peggy. What's your role in this movie? Are you the obligatory love interest? Do they introduce you as a tough action girl, throw in awkward romance moments between you and Steve and totally make you "the chick" by having you weep in tears at the end even when your commanding officer is present?

Peggy: Yes.

Ok. .. . . . We're not quite there yet.. and at this rate we probably never will be.. . . .but with all due respect Miss Carter, outside of being the love interest, what exactly do you do? What does your character do that Howard Stark, Colonel Phillips, and doctor Erskine can't do for Steve if you weren't around in the first place?

Peggy: Nothing.

....godd@^&$•

Therapy. I mean really.

You're going to love it when I tell you her role in CAP is to be the grandmother of his girlfriend in the present day, making for an awesome love triangle in AVENGERS or further CAP movies. :lol
