Captain America: The Winter Soldier (Pre-release)

Re: Captain America: The Winter Soldier

As I understand in the Winter Soldier comic, the Cap used the cosmic cube to restore Bucky's memory. Well Thor took the cube back to Assgard, so how is the Cap going to turn the Winter Soldier?
Is that why we have seen the Cap in a TFA uniform jumping from a quinjet? Does he don his old outfit in the hope it will stop the W.S?
I am assuming that the stunt man with the shield flying across the bridge is after the image we saw in the pre-pro art... But if the Shield is not enough would the old uniform be enough to do it?
Not really but some may not want to read speculation.

Re: Captain America: The Winter Soldier

I have a feeling we are not going to see the comic Winter Soldier storyline. I think its going to be more inspired by the Nick Fury vs S.H.I.E.L.D storyline. Where S.H.I.E.L.D is infiltrated. But who knows, all we have heard is its a "political thriller" so far.

Cap wears Nikes!
Great photos.

Edit: They appear to be a pair of custom Nike Lunerglide 4+. The color on the Nike site is "Stealth".

So excited. My blog has literally just turned into a mess of CATWS behind the scenes shots.

I am determined to do this costume for D*C next year. So if anyone knows what any of the parts are (I'm hoping at least the boots and such are shelf items) I'd love to know!

I wonder if they're going to change that. I say that because one scene Black Widow is wearing boots being attacked and in another photo of the same scene, she is wearing bright Nikes as she is running away.

:lol Just my luck if they change! It since it is the only part of the outfit that has been positively ID'ed.
Very comfortable shoes but $145.

Edit: Here is the text from Nike:
"I was able to confirm that this particular product is the Nike LunarGlide+4, however it's not an inline colorway. This means that the model you see was either created on Nike iD or as a special edition for the movie.

I was also unable to confirm that we have a tie-in campaign with this movie, however this isn't something that we typically do, so I have to say that I would be surprised to see any additional advertising."

Better look at the chest emblem but the rest of the suit is pretty much what we saw in the first reveal. I think it's alright - probably looks better on screen than the Avengers suit but so far doesn't hold a candle to the TFA suit. I would like to see a full reveal of the back of the suit before making final judgment.

Re: Captain America: The Winter Soldier

I like it. It's more tactical than tacti-cool

I find it more streamlined than tactical to be honest. When I think tactical I think modern spec ops kits. This suit looks a lot more basic than that. The dark color makes it look 'tactical' I suppose, as opposed to the traditional Cap livery that makes him stick out.

I'm saying its more tactical than the previous red white and blue. I wasn't saying the Seal Team 6 should start wearing this lol

If those proportions are the same on the live-action suit, then I have a feeling it can look really good on screen. I agree with your points, third3ye. I feel the Avengers suit was pretty true to the comics, but the helmet just was too bulbous compared to the tightness of the suit. Evans seems to look a little bigger in this film, and hopefully, the upper body portion of this new suit will make Cap look a bit bulkier like he did in TFA.

Proportions should look pretty close except for the legs. Evans has skinny chicken legs but that does help make his upper body look wider by proportion. Pretty sure they're going to pad the shoulders to add bulk but Evans has definitely gotten back to his TFA fitness level so the upper body should look pretty legit with his added bulk plus padding.

Why would they go with Steve Rogers: Agent of SHIELD look with a helmet? Unless they're going places with this story that don't seem to make sense... ugly costume and it isn't a Capt. America costume.

I like it. They definitely cut down on the pointless straps and buckles.
