Liking the progress too!! I threw in the leather piece, hoping you could put it to use. I'd cut the ear pieces off and assemble it without the entire inside leather, much in the way Finhead is doing his. It is much easier that way. Nice ammo pouches too! :thumbsup

This is a very informative thread. I'm new here and was looking to do a custom captain America shield and costume too. I will definitively keep all of this info in mind before I start. I'll have to wait and see how much money I have left after the Chicago comic-con next week. Again, I appreciate all of the info and advice.

I used that same air soft gun, lol. Have you tackled the chest strap yet? I'm trying to find one, but the nearest I've seen are like replacement purse straps.

I was lucky when i ordered the belt straps i got leg type straps with it free and the are perfect for the holster when i get less busy

Such an amazing and informative thread on customizing a Captain America costume. Thank you all.
