I started this shield with a cheep cardboard base and a few mins ago, I went outside and tried to spry the base with expanding foam but the nozzle broke off, Pushing it down didn't work, does anyone know how to use it? :confused

Anyway, I've always wanted this Shield and I sold my Legend of Zelda one (No regrets with that though) So I figured I'd make this one. :)

I know it looks wrong from the pictures, but it is really close to a perfect circle, please don't attack me for it not being perfect.

On another note, I was planning to go a similar route as this thread (Captain America's Shield Scratch-build - Lots o pics), only with cardboard instead of wood.:rolleyes

I would return it and get another can, that stuff is good but can be a pain in the butt. Make sure you clean the nozzle with Acetone when youre done or youll never be able to use the can again.

Thanks, I'll be exchanging it as soon as someone in the family goes to walmart. that's for the acetone tip, I didn't think of it.

Is that a giant brown egg? I told you to measure it by taking measurements of the circumference every inch or so to make sure it was a perfect circle. *sigh* Do you ever take advice into consideration? No scratch that, do you ever LISTEN?

Thats a good idea, but Shade doesn't ever READ

It's got a few rough edges from cutting it with an exacto but other then that it's a perfect circle.

I just had this idea: Why not make a sanding block with the contours you are looking for? It would be easy to make and would be re-useable. The nail hole can be filled in later or used to mount the star (if 3d version). You could even make the nail/spike go all the way through for more stability.
Here's what I'm talking about.

It's said that if you give a room full of monkeys a typewriter they will eventually type all of Shakespeare's works.

Hmmm, I saw a that the last post was Mic, and though *This should be entertaining and funny.*

I was wrong, it was only slightly amusing.

True, amazing War Machine by the way.

So I got a new can and will be trying it in an hour or two after I eat dinner and mow the lawn, if all goes well I'll post some pictures
