Captain America Leather Jacket?

Hey all,

Been lurking on the site for a couple months, finally joined up. I'm hooked, what can I say?

Anyway, I've been looking at this jacket on ebay for about a week, and it looks pretty grea, but almost too good to be true. So I ask: has anyone had any experience with this jacket and/or the company selling it? It's a pricey investment and I'd like an informed opinion before I fork over that kind of money.

Any info is appreciated!

Well, it's pretty inaccurate for the price. The back is completely wrong so I'd probably avoid it.

Yeah, the back is off but they didn't try to include the top of the gloves.
So doesn't look that bad and there may be room to work with it.

It looks better than the earlier TFA knock-offs....not referring to UD.

What do you intend?

I know the back is wrong, but I'm willing to overlook that. This is for a Captain America costume for Halloween, and I don't need the costume to be perfect, just consistent. If things aren't perfect, I can survive. But I am on a budget, and this jacket is pricey (even if I manage to get a lower price with the "make an offer" option). So if I spend this kind of money, I want it to be on something that I will wear day-to-day, not just for Halloween, and I would definitely wear this jacket all the time.

The pics make the jacket look great (quality and style) but before I invested in it, I wanted to double check if anyone had bought anything from the company in the past since I haven't been able to find much about them.

At a minimum, the best thing for the back is to remove the star.
Then if possible, have that big red panel replaced with blue.
The stripes would be off but close enough.

The big thing is... blue leather pants to match the jacket.
Not movie accurate but I think this will turn out really good.

What style helmet are you planning Avengers with cowl and helmet or Ultimates helmet?

Heh, I am not going that all-out with this costume. With the budget being on the low side, I am trying to get the best costume that I can for the most affordable cost, and if I am going to spend big money (as this jacket qualifies) I want it to be on something that I can get some more use out of, rather than just Halloween. This is the first year that I am really going for a quality costume, rather than going cheap and easy and calling it a day. It's just, quality is hard to come by on a budget, which is why I was wondering if anyone had any experience with the company selling the jacket (Ambient Corp) and whether or not they are reputable.

What I have so far:
-Pants the right shade of blue, to which I may add some painted rollerblade knee pads.
-My 21", 16 gauge steel stage combat shield, spray-painted to look like Cap's.

I'll bump this cause I posted about this exact same thing recently. If anyone has any feedback as far as the quality of these jackets I'd really like to hear it. I also don't want to drop $200 on a crappy jacket.
