Captain America ebay stealth suit?

Thinking about ordering this one (the ridiculously cheap one) as well, how did y'all let the seller know what size you wanted? I didn't see a blank or drop-down menu, do you just message the seller after you buy it?

Also ordered it. Really hope it's all it says it is. Payed 2.99 + Shipping, It's ridiculous!

Yeah did they marked it shipped before you gave them your size? When did you order your outfit?

I emailed the guy, I think leaving your size in the PayPal notes section isn't a bad idea

Alright, just ordered it and messaged the seller with the size I wanted. I was planning on making my own Captain America stealth suit, but it wouldn't have been as screen accurate and would have ended up costing me more in the end, and I'm a little burned out right now with intricate cosplays because I'm having to really focus on college right now. I already have an MH Sled sitting in my closet that I ordered a few months ago to serve as a base for the shield, I'm really looking forward to doing that

I really hope this thing is legit, it would be an incredible bargain! I'll post a follow-up response on this thread if/when I receive the suit to show what it's like. Hopefully it's the same quality as the one in the pictures on the listing

I ordered mine 2 weeks ago, so with a 4 week shipping timeline should be in my possession by October 16th. Fingers crossed. Did you guys do standard or custom sizing for yours?

What is everyone using for gaiters and/or spats? I looked at a couple on Amazon, but couldn't find the right color/size. I can dye some brown ones, yeah, but I don't want to get into cutting them down if I'm already having to mod them with buckles and straps.

Any ideas?

Seconded! Can't find a good solution for this. Thinking about making my own, but not sure I can pull it off.

I just got my Swiss military gaiters from Midway USA and for $10 I feel like I got a good deal. Yeah they need some cleaning up and a little polishing and the straps need to be turned brown from black but otherwise good to go. I just made the decision a couple weeks ago that there was no way I was going to have time to make a pair from scratch. shipping from Midway was really fast too.

FYI for anyone who bought the 2.99 plus shipping suit on ebay : I tried to bid on it last nite and got a message saying the auction changed, so it went to regular auction and sold today at 100.00 with free shipping

Don't know if this means anything other than 57.00 difference in price
Hope it turns out good for all buyers

I ordered the version one stealth suit from hellocosplay and it should be delivered today or tomorrow so when it comes in I will post some pics and I guess like a small review

I ordered my suit on Sunday and it came today via DHL. Here's my review:

Custom measurements are BS. The jacket for me was too short, and instead of tapering off to be form fitting towards the waistline, the jacket actually gets wider, so there's a ton of extra suit where there shouldn't be any.

The pants were almost right on (except my 35" inseam was given a 3" cut so they are short. Waist is also narrower than requested (but that's motivation to slim down a bit).

All in all the suit looks really good, just doesn't fit correctly.

Has anyone had any luck getting their tailored by someone local to trim it up better?

. What was the name of your seller on eBay?

I actually purchased the cosplaysky one from their website. It doesn't matter what you tell them, I don't believe they custom tailor anything, and I'm almost positive the extra fifty to tailor is a scam.

Beware of that.

I'm a lady too, what I do is order a men's standard closest to my size and go to a local tailor or seamstress to do a more proper fitting. So stoked to see other ladies do the stealth suit!

That's awesome! As for the suit, I actually opted to build/sew my own... I has been a progress but I couldn't afford the $200+ suits. This, besides my time, has been much more cost effective and has been letting me learn some new skills. I hope to have it all done by Oct 23rd (preferably sooner) and will be taking it to Stan Lee's Comikaze at the end of the month!

My Planning/Paper design (which i designed in adobe illustrator)
My progress so far on the jacket
With a Jacket and Wig test

also I cosplay as a 1942s pre-serum Steve (Stevie?) Rogers.
at a local military air show with a WWII era jeep

I have had my eye on these suits for a long time. Thanks to all who posted pics and information. In your honest opinion what site/suit is the best way to go?
