Can't find Tony Stark's sunglasses from Iron Man 3

For those who pre-ordered the intium 3000’s, how did you pick the color you want? I put it in the comment box that was provided on the ordering page. I just want to make sure I did it right.

Yeah, that's ok!
I think if anyone is going to be ordering the burgundy "movie versions" like myself, it may be a good idea to check the accuracy of the lenses before you have them shipped.

Initium updated the 3000's on their website with pics and more accurate descriptions of all of the color combos.
Not sure if it has been updated for a while or not, (I'm sure we've all had the email).....

The movie versions above look great!
Hard to ascertain from the pic if the lenses are clear, or have a tint or not, could be the shadowing in the pic.

****Update****
However, the movie option does actually state Brown/gray movie lense though.....so Initium's re-creation must be tinted....

More 3000 combos, I know they have already previously been posted....but hey!!

Looks like there are more pairs without the signature plectrum temple tips too.
Wanted to also post the Blue version, but when you select the blue, it just shows a pic of the "movie" version, so Initium may update it later.

So, I ordered a pair of the Superunknowns and get an email from Jason saying the movie versions are actually a Light Tortoise with slightly tinted lenses:

But I think I'm still inclined to go with the dark tortoise...What do you guys think?

Do initium even sell a light and a dark version of the superunknowns?....I always thought it was just the one colour!! And tbh, it’s a bit strange that Jason is saying that its a slightly lighter lense in the movie version, (ie you need a replacement lense for movie accuracy) when he’s been saying the whole time that the superunknowns aren’t even in iron man 2....no one else find that strange??

Jason is a busy guy and no telling how many glasses he sells or movies he supplies...plus, maybe he's just not an Iron Man fan.

All I know is that I've dealt with him many times and bought several pairs from him and he's always been great to me.
I'll continue to be an Initium supporter.

Superunknowns, as you can see from the two on the right hand side, dark tort and light tort.

This is strange, given that there isn't even an option for "light tortoise" - (they've always been listed like this TMK)....

I too, thought that there was only 1 "tortoise" color and that it was that 1 color, which was in the movie.
So it looks like mine are the light tortoise then, I thought they were "dark" as listed.
I've always considered mine to be the "movie" versions. If you watch the scene in HD, you can see plenty "tortoise" + come to think of it, the lenses in mine are solid and not gradient.

The site too, still indicates the London Calling's featured in both IM 2&3 as "dark tortoise" & "black horn" with gradient lenses in, when as we all know, they are red havanah with non-gradient light gray lenses in both of the movies.

I think it would be a bit misleading and disappointing, if you were a newcomer to the IM films and decided to get a movie pair!!
It's a quick fix, it just needs some updating in a few areas IMO.

I suppose by highlighting the Superunknown's, collectively, we've successfully ironed out some of the inconsistencies and misconceptions surrounding them, digging around for the correct info. on IM eyewear - which IMO, is what this thread is kinda about!:D...good work dudes!

The Superunknown's need their IM2 recognition on the Initium website....and don't forget the British Steel's too!! Lol.

I just noticed that on the pics you posted, the temple tips are totally different on mine (lower pic).
I wonder if the arms/tips were modified for a better fit.

The “light” tortoise version is available in the Superunkown {RX} menu.

Thought I'd spot a pair of LC red havana tucked away under another section too...it was a long shot..Lol.

I thought my v1 Von Zipper frames were my rarest find, but I think I might've topped that. I was able to score a pair of Roy Tower Concept 2 frames!!! They definitely have a different feel to them compared to the Initium frames. The color that Jason says is the movie color is off too. I know I've said it before but the brushed gun metal is much closer to the actual RT. That's why I swapped lenses when I got them. Please enjoy the pics. Sorry it's pic heavy. Let me know if anyone wants me to take more or any other comparisons.

Wow! Great find dude!!
TBH I gave up looking for the RT's, just proves that persistence prevails.

I noticed that the original RT's bridge and arm size is different to the Initium..
Your RT's..

Initiums..

So Initium 61mm lenses fit the original RT frames perfectly?
