Can't find Tony Stark's sunglasses from Iron Man 3

I mean I feel discord or some dm group would be easiest but Im also a little conflicted because I like the forum. Its not exactly broken and idk it honestly feels like home.

But hey, keep me updated. I've been focusing on my own projects so I apologize for my absence.

Hope you all are doing well though! ^^

Took a long time to find the Saint Laurent Classic 11 at a sub-$100 price! There's been several around at $200 or more for a long time, but I couldn't pay that much for something that is basically a Ray-ban clone. Better welded than Luxottica Ray-ban, though, I will say that.

Saw this post this morning. Wasn't sure if they have been ID'd or not.

To me they look like Stella McCartney pilot squares.

Nice budget find this week, some Paul Smith Romily for $25 shipped! Some damage to backside AR coating but these are destined for replacement lenses, and it was bent out for a head the size of MODOK but I fixed that.

What's the trick to fixing the temples on frames like these? Wire frames are pretty straight forward but when hinges on plastic or acetate temples get bent out I'm at a loss.

Well I wouldn't say the hinges were bent, they were still solidly affixed. But the temples were massively bent out and curved around like they were fit to a big round head and the bridge was bent so the frame front was about to be concave.

Basically I just set a hair dryer to high and warm up the temple till it begins to be pliable working from hinge end first bit by bit. On very bent up temples I have gone to the extreme of removing the temple, placing it so the worst bits are in a smooth edged vise (jaws covered with smooth material) and gradually warming the whole works up carefully in a gently warmed oven. Once warm I can easily tighten the vise to flatten the curve, then let everything cool down, remove the temple, and put the curve I desire in with the hairdryer technique.

Warming the whole thing up in an oven makes it pretty easy to shape but good temperature control is essential. I have an electric smoker that can go nearly as low as room temperature although I don't think this is what historians mean by "smoked glass"

OK... In my case the temple arms are relatively straight however they open quite wide. The hinges themselves seem solidly affixed so I'm not sure if a repair is possible or where to start.

Post a top down pic so we can diagnose it, acetate is pretty pliable with care and patience so most likely we can walk you through it. I've seen some wildly bent stuff returned to useable.
