Can't find Tony Stark's sunglasses from Iron Man 3

Lenses used for rimless frames such as silhouettes must be made of non-normal lenses such as polycarbonate, which is safe and unlikely to crack if the lens is attached. If you dye with polycarbonate, it will be twice as expensive as usual.
Everyone thinks that rimless frame lenses are the same material as regular frame lenses, but because it's important to protect your eyes, you need a material such as polycarbonate. Vonzipper often uses polycarbonate for regular frames as well. It depends on the manufacturer.

I took this the other day so you guys can get an idea of how the tint on my Silhouette look with skin tone behind the lenses.
It was a pretty sunny day, there was plenty of light in the room so taking that into account in comparison with the image of RDJ which appears to be in slightly dimmer lighting I think the guys at Lensology did a really excellent job.

It's always great to see a frame from a few years ago making a reappearance and being worn again (considering how many he must have)...Garrett Leight Preston just a few days ago at a Los Angeles Dodgers game on 30th April 2022...

Either he rotates his eyewear in some random fashion, or just goes back to personal favourites every so often.

Now I'm off to order that New Era 2022 batting practice 59FIFTY fitted white cap...

Definitely a possibility.
The lovely filigree detailing on the chrome is not surprisingly similar to the Finne but the Banzai lenses definitely look slightly more angular at the corners

It also explains why the filigree detailing is very close to the Finne.

Been working on Garrett leights. Finally got the champagne Grayson. Dita 006. Polaroid 6115 green and yellow also the gray rectangular Polaroid. Some Garrett leight prestons in an alternate color, gunnar vayper.

Off topic... also OP Clifton in silver. Pierce Brosnan wore these with a purple gradient in one movie and I can totally get buy in from the Mrs on this because she is a committed Brosnan fangirl as she is a longtime Bond fan!

So just about to put some customs in my Bvlgari 5006 195/71 (from p.285), when I found another pair. Now I have them in hand to inspect, I've been able to confirm the correct pair from the Iron Man premiere.

As opposed to my other pair, the frame is silver not gunmetal and the arms are gloss black not matt.


The lenses are a dark gradient grey with the very slightest hue of purple in there too, which confirms the lenses in this pic aren't custom, but the stock lenses...


I never noticed before, but "Bvlgari" is etched on the top of both of the lenses.

It's a bit difficult to be 100% certain here...

Found a few more pics (which are worse quality)...


After an "intense search fest", I've found a frame where that little white plastic section on the centre of the bridge matches up, as does the chunky side metal hinges at the temples. The remaining longer part of those quite wide side arms appear metal or silver in the pics, but it may be just a reflection from the gloss plastic...



Not sure exactly which colorway, but I think they might be Persol 2365-S (59□13 135)...

I think I can rule out the "all brown" and "all black" variants below, as they don't appear to have gradient lenses nor that plastic centre bridge detail in "white"...


I think it's obvioulsy between the 2 colorways with gradient lenses, the silver/black pair...


Or my hunch is that it's this havana pair...

I hope I didn't get an "F" on my homework, Lol
