Can't find Tony Stark's sunglasses from Iron Man 3

As a random generic question, but after 260 pages and being here since almost day one.. I’m just wondering how people buy glasses based on rdj now? Do you look for and buy every pair he does?... do you only buy the iron man glasses? Are you looking for certain pairs to complete a personal collection? Do you only buy the pairs you like or change lenses at all? So many more questions but would be cool for all people to say what they do after this long
Well I'm pretty new but I got back into costume research while enduring pandemic boredom. Focused on real world stuff I could buy. As an offshoot I decided to use what I found to improve my normal outfits in a secretly nerdy kind of way.
Like in Days of Future Past Hugh Jackman wears AG Jeans, in MI Cruise does too. Turns out my wife really appreciates them on me. I wear glasses normally so RDJ is a giant fashion magazine of ideas. I just had never considered getting used frames and having lenses changed. Never thought about it, didn't know it was such an easy thing to arrange.
I definitely have a collector mindset, but I am only drawn to pairs I want to wear. Like I probably will never buy the London Callings. Just don't see me wearing them. Although I'd have said the same about the Von Zippers but I couldn't say no to $48 shipped.

I buy what I can buy on my meager paycheck and use the rest on college tuition and living.
Got pretty lucky finding some cheap pairs and I send links to people I just find cool

Apologies, yet another long post!!
Having a really great weekend, enhanced by welcoming some new arrivals (which after some mega extensive searching was rewarded with "7" all sub $60 total bargain steals!!)...
Carrera Glory 2M286 (special edition)...
I'm sure I had some more clearer shots of these from when I ID'ed them, but can't seem to find them
Carrera 1 (gold/blue flash) and Carrera 1 (silver/grey gradient)...
My cunning plan was to put the blue lenses from the gold frame into the silver frame (not entirely sure of the difference between the 1 and the 1/B anyway) but right after I won both of them, stumbled across the right exact pair...Lol
Carrera 1/B 010KM ...palladium frame with stock blue flash mirror grey multi Degr lenses...
I'll have to dig out that alternative version Bruce Lee DJ shirt!!
Tod's 0199 18V, which will sit with my 18N, while (from p.257), the jury still seems out, as to which 0199 version it is in the trailer...
Finally found the correct Garrett Leight Grant MBK-G-BKMT/PGY matte black/black mosaic tortoise to replace my tortoise version (BBT-G-DKT/PBN) placeholders (p.241). The custom light/mid red lenses were just a straight swap over with the stock glass lenses...
Finally, my grail pair (€50 from France) new Oliver Peoples Soloist 4 (s.0491) brown.
I had to cave and replace the original lenses with some custom very light purple!!...
Thought I'd quickly squeeze in a snap of my Rock and Roll hat too!! Lol

Haha, it's funny 'cos I'm now after the black ones for my collection!!
I found them on ebay France, they were mis-described as "Solo 1st" sunglasses. (I suppose in all fairness to the seller, the font style on the arm could be mistaken for "1st" instead of "ist")...
It's been mentioned on here a few times before about searching for vague, brief or mis-described frames as an effective way of finding them.
It's a lot more laborious and time consuming, but getting those rare frame sweet victories make it all worthwhile!!
The buried treasure is out there, sometimes you just have to dig slightly beyond where "X" marks the spot!!!

I like the acetate border on the Rayfords, it's classy and moves them out of the utterly generic aviator category. They just arrived yesterday from a pawn shop in Australia.
I have a line on a pair of Mosley Tribes Aviatrix really cheap, I'll know in a week if that one pans out.

Oh, and M3032 in cobalt blue are at the optometrist, just waiting for the Rx lenses to arrive, still hoping maybe by Saturday. It's hot and sunny and I want to wear shades! The British Steel have really light tint so this will be my first actual sunglasses.

So I've been going over my completed IM frames collection and making a few revisions/tweaks with the packing/presentation boxes.
My Robert Marc 719 didn't have an RM case when I bought them, so when I found an RM case, got to thinking of how I could get my hands on an original RM box.
After no luck in finding one, decided to go custom.
This then got me thinking of how I could maybe improve on an original RM presentation box.
I thought of the casino scene where the Robert Marc 719 feature and came up with this...
I really don't know much about gambling and casinos tbh, but I thought the Caesars Palace dice and few gambling chips, were just the right size as additions to the presentation box and would be a nice little touch and a nod to the IM scene.

After looking closer at some screenshots of the scene, found that I have the wrong style of Caesars Palace dice. The accurate versions have a "Caesars head" on the "2", just visible here before being picked up...
...and "Caesars Palace Las Vegas" circled around the "1", seen just after they have been thrown...
So I've quickly replaced them with the correct versions...
I've somehow ended up with 3 pair of Dita Flight 006...
7806A with stock Dita mirror blue lenses.
7806A custom light blue lenses (stock Dita mirror blue replaced)
Custom hybrid pair consisting of 7806A frame with 7806D navy lens Dita orbitals and 7806G stock Dita dark grey lenses.
I liked the idea of all 3 of them being together, so made a custom Dita box...
I'm working through my IM movie collection, basically doing the same type of thing, I'll share some pics when I have some more completed.

Made some revisions to my Matsuda storage...
Matsuda M2002 in a genuine original wooden Matsuda storage box (the screwdriver was just a bit of fun!!)...
Matsuda M3023's in original large size Matsuda presentation box (I know the larger dark blue 57's aren't screen accurate though, lol)...
On the subject of M3023's, here's 2 shots of them that I hadn't previously seen (they're not exactly readily available anyway) that I came across...
