Can't find Tony Stark's sunglasses from Iron Man 3

BondtoStark and i Sent off some frames to Luxury EyeSite for some custom work and I gotta say I'm blown away. I haven't received them yet but if they look anywhere near as good as they do in the picture I'll be happy. They never cease to amaze me. View attachment 1433543
They do look great Mike. I think in keeping I should probably post the pics of the ones they recently did for me as well.

So, as gotmeth366 said, Luxury Eyesight out of Chicago also recently did some lenses for me. As ALWAYS they did a fantastic job. Hey also did both of my Matsuda M3023 as well as my Matsuda M2002 all in my prescription and I could not be more pleased with their work. I’ll add that their customer service has been second to none, in my experience. The recent work appears below.

Just ordered the Prada VPR 60R TV8-1O1
at a great price. They have light grey lenses. Depending on how they look I may keep them, or get clear prescription lenses fitted

And now I've just picked up these at a very reasonable price.
They're not the accurate colour but close enough, in fact I think I prefer them.
I did actually "purchase" the correct colour as worn by RDJ last Summer for a great price, only to be informed they had sold out, which was a bit frustrating at the time.

On the images of RDJ the frame colour looks like 2 solid colours which fade into each other to me, rather than the horizontal tortoise shell effect.
My Sheldrake are the 5036 1436 vintage grey fade. Obviously lighter grey than RDJs but they look more that type of style to me.

Yeah, I know what you mean :).

I first looked at the 1436 vintage colorway, but the arms didn't match up as the RDJ arms are clear and the frame fronts had quite a definitive "3 segment" color, clearly separated out from clear lower to light grey transparent up to darker grey transparent...
20210309_184837.png 20210309_184817.png

When I lightened the pictures, you can see the "striations" or random lighter sections dotted around in the frame front, particuarly in the upper half, especially on (his) right temple, just around the silver temple detail and above the right eye...
20210309_191157.png 20210309_194734.png 20210309_194401.png 20210309_194959.png 20210526_143300.png
...but granted, the lower section seems to have no tortoise pattern, but even when lightened, is light grey as opposed to clear.

I then thought about my Givenchy 7125's.
Mine, despite being exactly the same model, look like this...
20210309_190812.png
...despite RDJ's having only very minimal lighter tortoise or light amber sections, to the point, that in many shots, in fact they almost look black.
20210309_191813.png

This random "luck of the draw" with regards to the tortoise pattern and how much of the lighter and darker sections you may actually get, pointed me more towards the 1354/R8.
Mine are admittedly quite "stripey" in their tortoise pattern.

Maybe they are custom, as in using arms and frame fronts from different models, or an elusive vintage or limited model??

I'm more than happy to do some "Frankenstein's Monster" surgery on mine and "bolt on" the clear side arms with some unsuspecting different frame fronts......."IT'S ALIVE!!".

I can see what you mean. Upon very close inspection RDJs Sheldrake do appear to have subtle striping. I think the Givenchy 7125s example is an excellent one. Mine are probably somewhere in between.

I think this does make a very important point when searching for the same look with these types of frame options - basically an exact replica version is near impossible. I guess in a way that's pretty cool as each persons pair is slightly unique.

I have the givenchys both in black and tortoise to settle things once and for all

I've had a quick look around at the OP Isba and if you have the 1606/R5 on the way (which it looks like you do), I can't find reference just yet, as to them being photochromic, only "vintage glass".

I've found some pics of the inner arms...

I would say that although the lenses are described as "blue" with some retailers, some describe them as "grey/blue", which I think maybe more accurate, this probably isn't what you want to hear though (sorry!!).

I anything, they do look rather dark, especially when worn...
View attachment 1422344 View attachment 1422345 View attachment 1422346

If this isn't the blue your looking for, you may have to go custom to get the look that you want.

Still, the Isba's look awesome in white and maybe if you are planning on wearing them outside in sunlight, the darker glass lenses are much better suited.

If you did get lighter custom blue, (so your eyes are more visible or maybe just for indoor wear perhaps), then the problem would be interchanging the 2 colors as and when you needed to, as OP glass lenses are notoriously difficult to remove/inserto_O

The super tight fit of OP glass lenses contributes massively to the sturdy and almost quality heavy feel of this brand, there's no "creaks or cracks" of slight movement when you handle them.

You'll have to post some pics when they arrive!! :D
Here are the white Isba with the light yellow/peach lens. I got the idea for a yellow lens with white frames after seeing the Tom Ford Fausto.

I've gone for a much softer tint of a yellow which I really love. The lenses are actually donors from a pair of Karen Walker McQueen which I picked up cheap but which looked absolutely awful when worn. They look great in the white frames.

The Isba look really good on, very cool indeed. I'm very happy with the result.

They look awesome(y), those lenses really compliment the frame and bring them to life. It's such a great color combo.

Thanks for sharing those pics, they'll definitely help to get me out of my light blue & light purple lens color rut I seem to be in at the moment. Lol

Thanks man!

I was initially going for a light blue wash. To be honest light blue & light purple are awesome shades. My Sandalwood Bernardos are currently having light purple lenses fitted as we speak.

I didn't own any white frames previously so I'd never actually looked into what might work. The Faustos were a useful guide, although a little too bright for my taste. I must admit I was pleasantly surprised how good the Isba looked when worn for the first time with the yellow lenses.

Not the exact same color but you have to agree that variation is much cooler than a plain black frame don't you think?

Hi everyone.

I've got these Prada currently on there way. They're coming with the grey lenses as on the image.
I may keep those lenses if they're fairly light but I'm not really a fan of grey lenses.
If I decide to go with a coloured lens what do you guys think would work. Obviously we're probably talking the pastel yellows, Oranges, pinks, purples, blues but I'm really torn on which I'd choose. Also, do you guys think the red from RDJs Black Bernardo would work?

Just a pitch for thoughts and ideas :)
