Man, his frames are getting really hard to keep up with!!Lol.
Haha, yeah, it's nice to see the Karen Walker's with some "face" time, I just hope he picks up a pair of Jarvis at some point!!He likes his Karen Walker monumental.
I really like the lens colour. Would that tint be the same as the Kunio?
Nice selfie as well
I've had a quick look around at the OP Isba and if you have the 1606/R5 on the way (which it looks like you do), I can't find reference just yet, as to them being photochromic, only "vintage glass".Hi everyone.
I've got a pair of Isba on the way. As you can see the lens is a "powder" blue which I like. I believe they're photochromic lenses so does anyone know the tint percentage at their lightest when out of direct sunlight? I've got fingers crossed the lenses lighten to at least 30%
I ordered some Bernado a few years back with the photochromic lenses but they were poor, hardly changing at all. I ended up returning them.
Any help would be appreciated. I could wait for the Isba to arrive, but I'm not known for my patience where waiting for frames to arrive
I think I've managed to confuse myself while looking at the different Isba options. LolI've had a quick look around at the OP Isba and if you have the 1606/R5 on the way (which it looks like you do), I can't find reference just yet, as to them being photochromic, only "vintage glass".
I've found some pics of the inner arms...

I would say that although the lenses are described as "blue" with some retailers, some describe them as "grey/blue", which I think maybe more accurate, this probably isn't what you want to hear though (sorry!!).
I anything, they do look rather dark, especially when worn...

If this isn't the blue your looking for, you may have to go custom to get the look that you want.
Still, the Isba's look awesome in white and maybe if you are planning on wearing them outside in sunlight, the darker glass lenses are much better suited.
If you did get lighter custom blue, (so your eyes are more visible or maybe just for indoor wear perhaps), then the problem would be interchanging the 2 colors as and when you needed to, as OP glass lenses are notoriously difficult to remove/insert
The super tight fit of OP glass lenses contributes massively to the sturdy and almost quality heavy feel of this brand, there's no "creaks or cracks" of slight movement when you handle them.
You'll have to post some pics when they arrive!!![]()
IMHO, I would say the 2nd pic (lighter color), when worn that'll probably be spot on!!I think I've managed to confuse myself while looking at the different Isba options. Lol
I would send them away for a custom lens, a lighter tint of the same colour, which I like. Once they're changed they're staying changed. Lol
Here's another question
Taking skin tone etc into consideration which do you guys think is closest?
I'm so glad you said that.IMHO, I would say the 2nd pic (lighter color), when worn that'll probably be spot on!!![]()
Yeah, they've nailed it. I have a great relationship with the optometrist, but then again I am apparently one of their best customersIt's my pleasure.
They look great BTW!!
Haha, they should give you "bulk discount" or a VIP discount card!!Yeah, they've nailed it. I have a great relationship with the optometrist, but then again I am apparently one of their best customers![]()

$15!!Picked up some Oliver Peoples Stone OV5270U matte taupe for a crazy $15...

I'm still waiting though, on this pair of semi matt black olive...

..and because of the super cheap price, was tempted to spray the frame fronts matt black.
But, since I put in some light blue lenses, I really like them, the matte taupe has a semitranslucent aspect and almost seems somewhere between a dull "workman grey" and brown.
I've also put some light brown lenses into my other pair of tortoise OP Stone that originally had light green lenses in (posted earlier), due to this pic...
