Can't find Tony Stark's sunglasses from Iron Man 3

Yea it is a lot, but according to the email from initium, they actually provided the lenses to rdj for the movie...so at least you know they will be the exact red/mirror lenses that he wears! Apparently he's going to be wearing the red/tortoise version of the same glasses in the movie too, but wait and see what colour lenses they have!! but nlschutd, if you want them, I'm sure one of the guys on here, or myself can send you the initium link by email so that you can get them
 
So I'm a little on edge here because I'm talking with Jason now and he says that the red lenses do not have a mirror on the top and they did a fade effect. I'm worried that this is another case of "Oh we didn't use the superunknowns in the Monaco scene" when they really did. Because to me that definitely looks mirrored. I'm getting some more info from him, I'll let you guys know what I find out.
 
To be fair wolfshire I thought that too...I thought they were tortoise superunknowns rather than London callings in the IM2 Monaco scene!! The police neymar sunglasses did look red with a mirrored top in the trailer, but I thought surely if initium made them, they know what they're talking about......hope so anyway!!

This is what I got back from Jason, We are on movie sets today but I can on Wednesday.. It's a dark tint on top and a lighter tint on the bottom.. No a flash mirror.

He told me to send a picture the price for Just the lenses is 150... I am going to w8 for the pictures to be sure...

Hope to hear from you guys when you have any info

Nice :) I got a picture of the lenses for the police glasses... they look realy good :) dont know how to upload :(
 
Awesome! To upload you need to save the pictures to your computer, then after writing your message on here click the icon that look like a picture above and to the right where you type and upload it from there.

Here we go, Initium made Robert downeys glasses also so you wont get better than this.
 
yes they are realy nice... Jason is a cool guy to talk to... and it's not red :p it's roberts skin tone that makes the lenses darker
 
To be fair, they look nothing like I thought they would. It's looks orange with a clear top half? What percentage of tint did you go for?

The original tint, dont forget you face wil change the Color of the glass to a darker tint.


The transparant part is flash mirror so it depents how the ligt shins in the glass if it reflects or not.

Like I told before the glass was never red haha, it.looked red because his face made the glass darker
 
It actually says on the email that initium sent that they are red though....Very strange! They still look ok though, prefer them to the original grey lenses.
 
Red is a weird color to capture on camera, even weirder when it's a light tint on glasses. I guess if you wanted to get technical about the color they'd probably be considered an orangey/rose mix. Maybe they were trying to insinuate something about Tony viewing the world through rose tinted glasses lol
 
Yea I'll just be happy when mine turn up. I ordered them over a week ago, the day the email first popped up....but still nothing
