Can you help identify the ROTJ Stormtrooper/Fett Hard Hat Liner?

Last post honestly!
Yeah right.

TE's/Gino's Jedi molds were taken from the outside of the helmet. TE has stated that the original Jedi helmet was not taken apart due the damage to the hard hat liner that would occur. Plus they would have had to drill out the rivet between the face and cap/back.

That is incorrect.
When will you learn that you should stop listening to matt?

At approx $80,000 a pop, this is hardly surprising, and this was also the case with the SFS ANH helmet that Matt owned.

At the time of the molding of that helmet, they were not valued anywhere near that kind of an amount. Both the ROTJ and the Brian R ANH were completely taken apart and molded.
By the time the Dave M showed up on the scene, everything regarding the value of these helmets had completely changed.

This would account for the extra wide face on Gino's pull and the fact that the eyes are not quite right either.

I have to disagree.

And the fact that none of the TE Jedi helmets, neither mark 1 or mark 2 look right at all next to screencaps.
You keep comparing what I have to what matt had/has which is pointless.

Right, i'm with you Thank God thats over.

I was talking about resculpt meaning built from scratch vs recast ANH ear. The face and cap are from a ANH helmet and they look very different.

Only the left ear is a resculpt, like i said at the start.

Keith.

Glad we're on the same page.

You mean that what Matt has told everyone about the real stormtrooper helmets he has owned is not true, how can that be? He is the stormtrooper costume expert, is he not?

PROVE IT THEN GINO.

Your pictures prove that the molds you have are poorly made and from the outside, they look nothing like a screen used helmet, which you would know if you had ever held one.

@ FBJ, who by the way can't even recognise that the TE SFS replica helmet is made of fibreglass, Matt/TE is about as honest and trustworthy as GINO. I wouldn't trust the word of either of them. Maybe do some research before chiming in and having a pop at me!

Joe

EDIT this can be proved by a quick email to the new owner to ask if the rivets on his JEDI helmet is original or not, I will email him now to clarify.

Well Joe, you already know how I feel about your personal integrity in this hobby, yet I did not feel the need to bring it up nor did it apply to this debate.

But it is very telling about your argument that you have no recourse but to resort to personal attacks.

I'm confident in what I have and plan to show it off in all it's glory when it's done.
If I were you, I would spend more time investing in your project instead of arguing with me on the internet.

My dad used to deliver loads of stuff to various sites and was given a hard hat with this type of liner in the 80's it was a plain white (dirty) hard hat, but he said it never had a makers name on it and the guy who gave it to him said "keep it, its old anyway".

P.S if anyone wants their buckets tested i will happily receive them and put them through their paces for you, a fair and impartial test of course .... might even return them some day lmao ..

@ Gino, I just want the truth not spin, I think your thread on 'is this passing off a replica troooper helmt as original' was a totally unjustified personal attack, so don't bother with the high and mighty bs.

Back on topic, I have a lead thanks to a pm, will post some info as it progresses. Let's hope we can find this and share the information with the community.

Joe

Based on your history and all things considered at the time, I'd hardly call it unjustified.

I dont think thats what was meant. Lots of people know about that ESB. HDPE and everything.
But I dont think you can spot any extras wearing anything other than the ROTJ helmets we all know.

Yeah I know. I was just having a bit of fun with Jez and trying to lighten up the thread a bit :)

Cheers Chris
