Camberwick Green and Trumpton

new prop alert‼️
i’m not completely sure on this one, but it seems quite plausible.
i’ve come to the conclusion that the miniature steam engine, seen in the last episode of chigley, is the trevithick locomotive kit produced by airfix in 1968! it lines up perfectly both appearance and date-wise

Oh wow. I'm tempted but I've got a lot of other projects on the go at the moment. Are you not tempted by it?

I suppose I could go for it, but I've never actually built a kit before, and I'm not very keen on making (and possibly messing up) a nice vintage one as my first attempt

oh, and just as a quick addition, here's something my friend found earlier.
a documentary from 1971 featuring an interview with gordon murray, and some lovely behind the scenes footage from camberwick green.
(gordon's interview starts at around 34 minutes in. there is also some footage of what I believe are the animatronics from the fenwick's christmas window display later on in the video, just after sylvia anderson's interview ends)

Thanks for that video mate:cool::cool:(y)(y)This is my childhood and, to a certain extend, my teenage years and my memory of a more simpler and happier time:):)

bit quiet here, so some small news
update on that airfix kit, someone outbid me lol
update on dr mopp, i may have spotted some wire in my school’s art classroom that could do nicely for an armature, i’ll ask my teacher about it tomorrow

now here’s a fun one. i somehow managed to find the car that the doctor’s appears to be based on! it’s a rochet voiturette type D from 1902, lovely little thing it is

finally got some wire for the doctor's armature! in the meantime, I've used a small excess piece to finally make the car's
hand crank.

I am having a bit of a struggle with attaching the crank however, I'd like it be rather well stuck on but I don't want to glue it, and blue tack isn't really cutting it. anyone have any ideas?

I think I just left it un-stuck because I didn't want to change the toy permanently (it was my original from childhood). It seems to stay in place fine.
