Models are finally finished. They have all been tweaked so that they are roughly the same scale and dimension.
I will be uploading and ordering my first test set tonight. I will order a 1" set in steel and a 1.5" set in frosted detail. Once I have them and know for certain that everything prints in good detail I will be ordering the final set for the commission and opening it up for others to purchase.
I also forgot to upload the close up pic of the last emblem so I will do that as well tonight.

I will make all of them available individually and as a set. The full set will end up having a cheaper cost per medal though. My third option (as long as it works) to further reduce cost of the set is to combine them with small tabs into 1 object. This will result in 1 start up cost as opposed to 10, which will save you even more money.
I am certain that the high detail materials from shapeways (frosted and ultra detail) will print accurately at these sizes. Therefore, those will be the only materials available at the beginning. Once I can confirm that the other materials can print the details accurately then I will make others available as well.
Look for a thread in the Junkyard soon. I will have pricing info as soon as I get the models uploaded tonight.

Looking good, I would love a set for my personal collection when they are done! I am a huge Call of Duty fan.

I tried ordering a full set with them all combined. It looks like this
There are 5 emblems on each side with their backs to each other and small rods connecting them together. I received a message from Shapeways the other day saying that there isn't enough support so I'll be correcting this during my 5 days off next week.
I also noticed that my picture links went down so I will re-upload them next week. Those pictures were old anyway.

I've got new picture up in the first post and some other angles of all 10 together. Some of the edges didn't show up in the render as I haven't gotten the hang of smoothing groups yet, but they are there.
I ordered a set of all 10 at 1-1/2" diameter in frosted detail. It is set to arrive by Jan 20th. I'm still trying to work out the bugs with my steel print. My test piece printed fine but for some reason it doesn't like them all together. Shapeways tells me my models should be thicker but 3mm is rather thick for a 1" diameter medal.
I will try some different things and see if I can get it to go through. I'll open them up for sale as soon as I can confirm that they print ok. I also have gotten some higher res pictures and noticed my skulls are a little off. I will be correcting them in the near future as well. For now, it's time to play some MW3

Just got an email from Shapeways. The wreath of emblems successfully printed but the posts came apart during cleaning. Everything looks good so they are going to ship them anyway.
I'll reinforce the structure a bit so that it doesn't come apart in the future. I have included the picture that Shapeways sent.
Once I get this in the mail and give them a look over I will make them available in 1", 1.5", and 2" sizes in frosted detail to start with. In the meantime I will work on making stainless steel available.

They are finally here and I am impressed with the detail. The tabs came off very easy. A small wiggle and they snapped off cleanly, so no dremel or sanding was even needed.
They look very sharp, although it is hard to tell from the pictures of them as clear plastic. I found an old can of pale copper spray paint to give them some shine. The paint really does bring out the details. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.
