Cad Bane BoBF reference

The coat, called a "duster" was 100% custom made for the show, along with all the soft parts. Nothing was off the shelf.

I have seen a couple coats made now, and one thing people are missing is the shape of the front of the coat. They tend to make the coat way too big as they base it on an existing pattern, as though it would need to button up the front.

In actuality, the front panels and lapels are intentionally narrower so that the middle of the vest and belt is exposed. This creates more of the "gunslinger" look.

I decided this week I'm going to take a crack at Cad Bane for NYCC. I've never done anything this involved before and this thread has been super helpful so far. I would never have found the right boots on my own or even think of cpap hoses.

Anyway, I didn't see a definitive answer for the trench coat so I got in contact with a custom jacket maker online. Sent them a bunch of reference photos (some posted here so thank you guys for that) and brief description of what I was looking for. Got a response back that they can do it for $550 shipped. Do you guys think that's a good price?

Crowprops will eventually be making all the soft parts.

BTW you should join the Cad Bane builders group on Facebook if you havent already :)

I modelled up the backpack as best as I could. Should be darn close.

I'm thinking i can get away with using Cassian Andor's jacket from Rogue One under the trench coat. They look pretty close to each other. Even has greebles in the same spots.

Test fitting the belly ammo rounds and holder. Same dimensions work for the leg holder with slightly tighter spacing.

Not nearly as much as I see Centuri being derivative of what SW established 7 years before The Last Starfighter...

There is of course also a certain amount of "common source" since both of the movies are leaning into the classic "grey alien" look. But I'd agree that there's a lot of influence from Star Wars on Last Starfighter in many areas.
