I take the blame. I advised Rob to not post anymore updates so the finish will be spectacular.

True, but I haven't touched it in a matter of weeks... I think I forgot my techniques. Ah well - maybe I'll finish it up next year. Or after my kids graduate...

Well the end result will certainly be worth the waiting. I check for updates daily on this thread and I don't say that for most! :)

It was this build that got me to join this site & the suspense is rediculous

is this thing operational????

Keep the faith guys, and I apprecaite the sustained support!

I'm nearing the end of my "break".

The break was not entirely planned or specifically imposed, but I just had too many other projects (non-prop) I had to get done. Namely, the soccer video I've mentioned a couple of times.

The video project more or less has a deadline, as the boys (and myself) will all start up on a new season and new team next month. So I want to get it done before that happens.

Good news is that I am past "post production" and am now in the "preview audience" phase! I've completed 98% of my edting, burned a DVD to view (and share with selected friends for feedback), and have just a wee bit more tweaking to do. Then its time to publish.

The video took on a life of its own, but I should be entirely done with it by the end of this week.

Meaning I may get back on track with the DS next week.

Although - my "dance card" is getting pretty full that week (eye doctor Monday, kid's dentist Tuesday, plumber coming Wednesday, soccer coaches meeting Thursday).

Yikes...

Then the week after that (8/11/10 specifically) we're heading to Florida and the Caribbean for two weeks. And once I return, then soccer season (two practices and one game per week; games all day on Saturdays) is immediately upon us.

Man - soccer season will take me THROUGH November 2010, which would then be the TWO YEAR anniversary of this project!

The good news is that the remaining work to be done should go fairly quick, once I get back on it. But yeah - I probably won't really be getting back it to it regularly until the end of August. :unsure

Ok - thanks for letting me ramble, and air out my calendar and plans!

I know what you mean. The older I get the longer these projects take. I am just not in a hurry to finish them and there is a certain enjoyment knowing you have a cool project that you keep chipping away at. Really takes the pressure off, lol. Looking forward to seeing her all done (if I'm still alive then, lol).
