Building Babylon 5 Warlock 3D printed model

Here we go guys and gals I received two model kits of the Warlock from Babylon 5 from Kingbob which he printed.
Here are the parts off his drawings.

It did get some additions after that pic, added a bunch of detail parts, guns got some variants, and additions.

Building the frame of the ship.

I have sanded the mating surface just to loose a couple of high spots plus it will help the glue bond better.

the beginnings of a cool build

Made two antennas on the weekend for the two ships I am making. I used the Master Tools brass tube set No.6 , I then added a 0.5mm fiber optic strand down the center to give the little white dot to the end of it.

The set has enough brass to make 2 and have lots left over for the next model.

I will take another photo with a ruler against it so you can see the size and positioning of the smaller tubes.

Engine check 22 LEDs all wired up and tested.

It is fantastic how this just clips together no glue used yet. But I will glue them together during final assembly.

Worked on the lighting for the engines. 22 LEDs feeding the engines glow.

Fiber optic time. Now adding fiber optic strands to give the model points of lights like windows and navigational lights.



I used 0.5 0.75 and 1mm fibers.

Engine building weekend,
I have some extra detail to the engine block a few greeblies that will not be seen as it is covered.

I have attached the engine to the rest of the ship and started tidying up the fiber optics and power cables.



Plus I made a temporary stand to make it easier to work on.

Outstanding. I love the brass antennas, definitely need to try that.

the pipe work is 2mm in dia.

Plus adding a few fiber optics to the side of the ship adding a few windows.
