Buffy Props -- Cool Items Coming Up

Great. Where did the hunga munga come from? What is the history on that? I know that the Propstore of London has one.

They said that the above one is from the Third season episode one Anne and is metal. Is this one metal? Is this the one they used later in the series?

What is the history of the diploma? The only other one I have seen is this one. I cannot tell if they are the same.

I love Mr. Pointy. Are there anymore?

All of the props are guaranteed original. The source (my client) for this material is absolutely unimpeachable. I'm providing a lifetime guarantee on everything.

I've been told I'm about half way through the available material.

Almost everything I've shown has sold privately--before I could post it to eBay.

Really, does anyone need a kidney? ;)

Incredible props, Phil. I can't wait to see the rest.

Don't get me wrong; I do not doubt you at all. I was just asking about the history. I have been interested in the hunga munga for some time and was just curious if he had information on the episode it came from. I know that shows have more than one of some props. Just asking questions, not saying they are not originals. I have several pics of Buffy's diploma and there are 3 that I have seen. Yours, one from the Propstore of London, and the one I posted above. Just interested on their history. The one posted above appears to have been rolled up at one time. I have been curious about that and the fact it is just thumbtacked.

Again thanks for posting the props and the info,

Greg

The same type of Hunga Munga appeared in the Angel season tow episode "Happy Anniversary" as well. Could one actually be from that?

And speaking of Angel...Phil, any chance you'll be getting some props from that show as well?

Unfortunately, my client didn't work on Angel.

No offence taken.

I'm sure several of the forum members will know more about the props' history than I.

Here are some additional images. The base of the prop was constructed from a unique Dunhill lighter:

You can also see quite a few RC airplane linkages in there too. The same type that were used for the Terminator endoarms. :)

That license is aweome. I love props like that..  Is it printed on styrene or is it laminated cardstock?

I don't know. I'll have to ask and get back to you.

I'll have these latest pieces in my possession by early next week.

I never even realized she had a DL. She drove a car what, once in 7 years.? :lol

Well, twice if you count her driving the armoured car while in Faith's body in "Who Are You".

What's up with the address on it though? She lived at 1630 Revello Drive, at least until it fell into the crator caused by the collaps of the Hellmouth.

1605 Murray Dr wouldn't be the actual street address for the house would it?

No, that's not the actual address. I don't know why it's different. It's not unusual though, mistakes like that happen all the time. Her birthday changed three times in a single episode once :lol

Would that be "I, Robot....you, Jane" episode?

I made it to Illinois. Love these props. Speaking of ID's, can someone tell me why Xander's is Ohio? I do not recall. Do not want to highjack the thread so PM me.

Thanks,

Greg

I've identified the aluminum rocket shown earlier in this thread as the explosive device fired at Buffy during Mr. Trick's Slayerfest (Season 3, Episode 5, "Homecoming"). The two German brothers, Frederick and Hans Gruenshtahler, can be seen loading it into their weapon. It also appears on the floor beside the demon Kulak, just before it explodes and destroys the cabin in which Buffy and Cordelia are hiding.

Here are some screencaps:

Here's another shot of the driver's license. If you look closely, you'll see that it has the California raised watermark and DMV logo on the surface.

The prop is constructed of 1/16" thick white plastic. I believe the graphics have been printed on, while the watermark effect was created with a clear laminate.

The rear is blank, but has a magnetic strip running along the top.

It's a beautiful and realistic-looking prop.

Does anyone have any idea in what episode it would have appeared?

That's awesome. :D

As far as I know, Buffy's license never appears in any of the seven seasons. Or if it has, you never get a very good shot of it. I'm a little rusty, but I don't think Buffy even got her license until after the third season (which would make the prop one expired by the fourth season.).
