That Calddagh ring is odd looking. This is what he wears in the season two promos:

I'm pretty sure that's what he wears in the show too, but I'll go back and rewatch some and make sure.

Maybe one is a "hero" ring and the other is a "stunt" ring?

I have two Claddagh rings: one for Buffy and one for Angel, but both of them don't match any screen captures I've found so far. Nonetheless, the source of the material worked on the show, so I'm certain they were employed on the series.

Very much. I made one minor correction to the episodes the items were seen in.

"Faith, Hope and Trick" - Season 3, Episode 3

Only episode I can find that version in. I checked out some Season 2 episodes and as far as I can tell, he's wearing the one in the promo photo I posted.

Someone had actually cited the episode to me. Nonetheless, that's perfect. I think that confirms that the ring was used onscreen. Thank you.

Now I need to find the version of Buffy's ring I posted above...

I second those findings or lack there of.

If it's was used on screen, it wasn't in any of the episodes where the ring was used prominently.
