Indeed, some parts can be found, but some have to be custom made. Also, I have no clue how to make the electrical parts work. I can solder some wires to some switches and battery connectors, but without a detailed schema or explenation, nothing is gonna work, i'm afraid.
So I'd also just love a kit with all the necessary parts (without the Futaba transmitter and batteries, off course)... Coulombe's version is nice, but what bothers me most on his version is:
1. The digits on top are not spot on. In close-ups of the bluray it's very clear that each of the three numbers has its own housing
2. The batteries at the back are not correct: there should be 2 9V batteries and on coulombe's version there is 1 9V and 2 AA batteries. I assume this is necessary for his version (with sound) to make everything working... But I prefere sceen accuracy over sound (so 2 9V batteris and no sound electronics).
3. The STOP letters on the button are not close enough to each other.
4. The box at the back of the remote is not the correct one, but in this thread he mentioned that it's not a problem to have the correct box if you want, so that's not really an issue.
I have some pretty good bluray screen caps of the remote. I'll post some this weekend in camparison with coulomb's remote so it's clear what I'm talking about.
Coulomb, you're a member here too. Maybe you can make some minor tweaks to your version (don't know if it's possible) so it's more screen accurate? Don't get me wrong, It's a very nice replica at this moment, but just those "little" extra's would convince me to buy it. Now I don't know yet...
In any case: one day I MUST have a BTTF remote in my collection. That's for sure...
