BTTF Mr Fusion replica

I've built one scratch. I don't have them on hand so I'll post the dimensions later.

Every piece here is scratch built.

The latch is a little big and I've since redone it. I've also tweaked the lid since this picture was taken also.

Here is the same setup on a Singer base casting.

You were the one I was reffering to as the scratch builder. ;)
Did you get my last pm about the Stanley's?

How large is that base?

I had the pleasure of having this pull into my drive way the other day and the place where it would mount seems to be a 13" or 14" hub cap. Does that sound right?

They got rid of the reactor assembly and built the Mr Fusion on a new metal base to give it height.

My favorite is the plutonium reactor. One of these days I'll build mine and if I ever do a replica I'll make them interchangeable.

I think Hoverboard means you should give it some time. People may have other things to do with their lifes then handing out the information you so desperately seek.

I don't think it's just me. I'm sure there are plenty of people who would want to know that information. It has been kept secret for far too long.

Honestly man, you have to give some of us a little time. I don't care who has the info these days, but it still takes TIME to get files and dimensions set up on these things :) I don't usually go through all the efforts of dimensioning my files since I kinda just know what I need and will do the cad as far as I need it to do the job. Once I have it built I don't worry about the CAD files.

Case in point. I got my files for the fusion to here.

With the CAD that far along I was able to make this:

I didn't bother to CAD up the Krups grinder because I already had a real one. I'm not about making the pretty pictures - just getting the parts done.

If you are patient chances are pretty good the info will come up. It just takes time to get there for some of us.

Aren't there free hoverboard decals somewhere for download? Use those to get your dimensions off of.

Sorry man. I didn't know you would get so upset. But you are doing the community a HUGE favor by helping with this so I thank you.

Huh? Who is upset? I'm not upset at all. Just trying to give you a straightforward and honest reason why I personally haven't been able to post stuff. I'd like to think anyone else may be keeping information to themselves for similar reasons - although I doubt it ;)

It wouldn't bother me one bit to post my complete cad file for the BTTF-D. I'm just telling you and everyone else that it would be "incomplete" to a certain point.

It's not information that's kept secret. I didn't know it was my responsibilty because I have it to dissect it and measure it for the world. The singer base is a found piece, you can find one and get all the measurements you seek. Let's say I do scratch build it as the original was a scratch built piece, still not our responsibilities to do the same and post it. That's why some people go and do some hard work and research themselves and make these amazing pieces. Doesn't mean they ate keeping secrets by not handing over their hard work. Because my singer base is not my own and someone else's work I don't think it really cool to show everyone how to duplicate their work. Let's say someone took one of your jackets and took it apart and made a tutorial on how to do it and made kits for people for cheaper then you were doing it. I know how proud you are of your jackets and you wouldn't like that too much. You got upset when brad "took over" your thread so I know you wouldn't like it. Same for people who may make replica singer bases that you want measurements of. I know I've gone on a rant here and apologize if its just running together or not making sense but long story short, don't ask for info your not comfortable going out and looking for yourself. It takes hard work to do some of this and you want it offered up on a silver platter.
