Hi everyone this is my first post on here. I just wanted to share a replica I made a few months ago of the imperial state crown used by the British monarchy. I was inspired to make this after seeing Adam savage make a replica of the St. Edward’s crown. I did the most research I’ve ever done for any replica while making this. The entire frame of the crown was made with some wire I got from a craft store and subsequently coated with fake diamonds and pearls. I even managed to make this replica the exact same weight of the original without real gold. It’s Surprisingly heavy on the head. Photos don’t do it justice because this thing shines very intensely in any light. I of course keep it directly in front of a replica of the Declaration of Independence because the juxtaposition is hilarious to me and absolutely no one else I know. If you have any questions about the process or anything else about the crown please feel free to ask. I hope you like it.
