BTTF Mr Fusion replica

Hi

Heres's my Mr Fusion replica. I made out of a real 223 Krups coffee grinder that originaly was orange (took the inside motor and wire out, repainted it white and applied the stickers).

Looks good. I just looked on ebay at the prices and everyone knows they're from BTTF so the prices are sky high.

Yeap, some prices are realy high. I got mine from ebay.de and the price was not that high (I guess the guy didn't know it could be related to BTTF, besides it was orange so there was a lot to work on it - I got it functioning good :lol)

Yes, that's correct. On "ebay.de" I bought two white coffee grinders for about 20 Euro each (plus shipping). Both are in very good condition.

I had no time yet to make my replicas, but my plan is: making one "new" Mr. Fusion and a "damaged" one (from the end of the third movie).

I just found one that even states "mr fusion" in the title. They want (by it now price) $149US for it HERE :lol

Once upon a time when the Internet was not blowing up with bttf information you could grab these at a price that reflected its usefulness. Anyone who knew this info kept it to themselves. Then, BOOM, the info was widespread and you pay 100 plus for one. I bought my first one over ten years ago for 200 dollars! I think I was bidding against someone else who knew what it was. I have that one all modded and put on a base as a full Mr. Fusion. I have another still sealed in its factory box. I like that one. :)

Hi Roland
That would be a great idea - doing a damaged one! Guess I'll take your tip :cool

What were they new? I do enjoy a coffee from ground beans, but have never bought one, so have no idea what the price would be. I was a little shocked to see coffee makers (with grinders) averaging $900.

In many ways, we should be grateful to the amount of freely available info on the net. Prior to 2008, I just could not find images of the NIKE MAG shoes. Now I find at least one my own images every time I google.

I watched BTTF2 today (looking for details on that jacket) and noticed the base that the white coffee grinder sits on. I think if making this prop, you would want to replicate that as well.

There were very good pictures on "bttfmuseum.it" of an original jacket, but unfortunately the website is no longer accessible (the domain name is in cancellation).

Here are the pictures (I had saved them on my computer):

I moved to Pasadena in the late 80's to go to USC. A friend of mine was driving me around, showing me the sites, and we stopped in C&H Sales. Right by the door was a box full of the Delorean keypad thingees. Five bucks each. I recognized what it was/where it was from, but didn't tink to buy a pallet load of them. Would have done better with that investment than my stock buys in 1999........... :lol

WOW! Thank YOU! Saved to my PC now :)

Could you give us dimensions and/or templates to make our own? There is absolutely no information on how to make one of these without using the real coffee grinder.

Which dimensions do you mean? Of the stickers or the coffee grinder?

For the templates you just need to wait: when I make the stickers for my own replicas, they will be available for free download for everyone. :)
