We're still testing out different washing effects to get the right stone-washed look of the original. I'll post some photos as soon as we've got some progress to share.

Any update?According to production we should have some photos next week of some test washing effects as well as the new updated lining. Fingers crossed!
Nice! I’m really excited for this. Will it be limited quantities? I’d order one as soon as it’s available, but just curious. The washing process is looking good, so we've just sent 80 yards of fabric to them to do all at once. Once we get that back, we'll get a final prototype worked up. Lining is being printed now as well!
It looks great!! I hope we could have more updates soon
It looks really nice! Hope to see more pics soon... at the moment the prototype looks promising
Just a thought, maybe the buttons worn on the jacket could be offered as a separate item to buy, if you have a line on those...
Nice to finally see some photos! As others have stated getting the colour right is very important in making it look right, but the actual look and weight of the denim is also very important. Guess jacket's of the time had a distinctive honey comb denim pattern close up, as well as a vertical drop pattern on the denim when looking at a distance. Headgoonie got the denim look and pattern spot on, but was a bit inaccurate on the colouring.
The pocket, since it doesn’t have to hold the Aiwa is assumed to be smaller.Crap. So just a mirror (pocket pattern wise, not print design) of the other side?
MJF wore a size 16 (you can tell by the snap placement). The largest I’ve seen is a 20. The latter isn’t much larger than the 16 though. The 16, 18, and 20 could all reasonably be called an adult XS.Such a missed opportunity by Guess not to at least make a new run of these after the huge success of the series even back in the 80s and 90s. Let alone its popularity for the decades after, especially after the 30th anniversary. Would have made finding this model much easier. They would have had to make it in adult sizes though as this style was only made for kids and presumably MJF had the biggest size they made.
Ah ok that’s interesting info I never knew.MJF wore a size 16 (you can tell by the snap placement). The largest I’ve seen is a 20. The latter isn’t much larger than the 16 though. The 16, 18, and 20 could all reasonably be called an adult XS.
Happy to share so we all get better jackets in the long run!Ah ok that’s interesting info I never knew.
