Limited Run BTTF Marty's Denim Jacket & Vest by Magnoli Clothiers (WHITE LABEL UPDATE)

New prototype finished! We are VERY nearly there. I caught one mistake (double row of horizontal stitching just along the front edge should be single row). Anything else we're missing?

This last shot shows the color-changing effect of the "grey" part. I think we've finally got the color and materials right!

Any other tweaks that you guys can see?
The still slightly dyed triangle where they removed the Guess patch.

Also what size is this prototype made in?

I think the blue is still a bit inaccurate but the rest looks good! The color-change effect on the grey part it's a great detail

For a prototype it's looking great. Here are some tweaks I could personally see.

Dent in the middle of each bronze snap button

Slightly shorter waistband

Darker blue, and overall a more "lived in" stonewashed texture. While I'm sure with use and general wear it could look more distressed to match the original, at the moment it looks quite flat and smooth compared to the baggy and weighty look of the original.

Also some general tweaks like pocket size (having it closer to the centre), and slightly shorter. This image of a genuine jacket is really useful for showcasing the general colour, texture, and size of the jacket.

Agreed. I think the stonewash effect is almost there (HG got close but didn’t wash it enough for my liking so it’s still quite dark). And the Blue needs to be more of a slightly washed Indigo denim I think? But it’s looking better and better with each prototype!

From the pics, it looks like the original jacket used a heavier weight denim that was washed much harder. If that's the case, you'd have to start with darker initial colors so that removing 90% of what's there leaves the right shades behind. Just my opinion.

On original jackets you can see parts of the unwashed denim in the waistband and in some more worn areas. It's a darker blue/indigo colour.

The “grey” sections, prior to dyeing and washing, are also a crossweave fabric made of white / cream threads and indigo rather than a single color.

Here’s an example of a lighter weight fabric over a Guess vest in the proper color for reference.

it looks like the pockets need to be a bit wider

Some images from London that he asked me to share about getting the pockets right. The liner fabric in the middle and the side pockets where it links to the top pocket.

Not sure if this was talked about, but the original jacket had the motorcycle logo on the inside liner.

I definitely talked about this on another thread but not here.

I'm not sure if the motorcycle liner was on the modified screen used jacket, since it could have just been replaced with the Hollywood or paisley liner.

Since we have no idea how deep the modified liner went, I guess it's still up to speculation. Although I think replicating the original motorcycle liner would be a nice touch.
