Unfortunately no lightning rod hook. I'm making that myself. When my second DeLorean arrives, (in about 2 weeks or so), I will convert it to the parts 3 version with the white wall tires, front lifted suspension, and update the rear deck with Mr. Fusion. Why you ask?...
...I'm honestly not going to wait for the part 2 version from Hot Toys. This is why I bought a second Delorean TM model. I'm starting to see signs of it never being released. Sure, bttf 2 car and 2015 Marty is on their new coming soon catalog, but so was the 1/6th scale 1966 Batmobile. That classic batmobile plan has been shelved. That was years ago.
Another clue was how my Delorean arrived. The coils/piping on the front and sides of the car had to be installed by yourself, the old wind up clock and fusion chamber cap was separate, and the wires/ cables had to be carefully plugged in after installation of the pipping.. In other words, Yes, it comes partially unassembled. Not cool in my opinion. Not for what you pay for.
Oh, did I mention you get a sticker sheet to install yourself. Oh yes, it's the two gauges on the passenger side, the red label on the flux switch, and the "OUTATIME" license plate. Yikes! I know it comes off like its a big deal to me. But who here has spent hundreds on a partial model kit...
...ok, don't answer that. Guilty as charged!
Did I also mention, no Doc Brown! That's right. Zip to el Doctoré!
Even if they did, he won't fit in the Delorean. Just look at my photos of Marty in the car. He was purposely made shorter in scale to the other figures, yet Marty's head hits the inside door when shut. It would be embarrassing to release an appropriately height Doc figure and not be able to fit in the car. Yet another Yikes!
So right there, I had enough obvious red flags to point out that Hot Toys is going to dump the Bttf license or let it fade.
No, Hot Toys has plenty on their plate between DC and Marvel movie licensing. Plus they have about another 400 Iron Man figures to make. (A mere exaggeration but yes, they love their top seller Iron Man figures).
What's my point to all this ramble...
...if you can afford it, and love the series like the most of us, don't wait on the "next" version. Because it might not happen.
Also, from the look at the series number on the side of my Hot Toys box, they won't produce many part 1 DeLoreans either.
Limited has turned to extremely limited. Ye be warned!
... Ok, enough about that. :cool
