BTTF - Back to the Future Merchandise (Toys, Models, Figures, Statues)

Had to share this. I got this in the mail today. I dont know if any of you are "Funko" Fans or not, but I am pretty excited to add this one to my collection along with the Doc Brown exclusive I got in last months lootcrate box. 12219529_10153282506375875_7476716434000602688_n.jpg

The DMC hat looks much better out of the package - there's a great photo of it in the Back to the Future Almanac: Official BTTF Memorabilia Guide. I'll snap a photo of it when I'm back at work tomorrow. I'm tempted it to take this out out of the packaging myself, especially since it appears this one has been taken out previously and re-stapled shut.

very cool, yes i wanted to buy a copy of "Back to the Future Almanac: Official BTTF Memorabilia Guide" but because i live in the uk the P&P would cost me more that the book would cost me :(

Bummer, it's an absolutely stunning book. Which reminds me, here's a snapshot of the DMC hat:

I'm thinking about displaying it the same way.

Just curious has anyone on here ever made a replica of the presto logs from part 3? I'm honestly surprised that I havent seen them show up in "Emma's" collection. Lol! Or best guess on how to make them? Wood with colored paper wrap and some twine perhaps? Does anyone have a good picture of them by chance?

That would be a pretty simple project :) I am one of the rare fans who really loves BTTF3. You can still find Pres-to Logs at Lowe's and they're cheap. Looks like they are wrapped in colored plastic and twine to me, the the white sheets of paper with the numbers on it.

Hmmm... I'm still trying to determine if it is colored plastic wrap or colored plastic bags tied at the ends. I'm not sure.

i always thought the presto logs where died bed sheets with wire wrapped around them. i made them a few years ago with shipping tubes from UPS. they got wet in the great flood and that was the end of that

Died bed sheets eh?... that would make more sense given the time period I guess. I went to Lowes tonight but my local store did not carry the presto logs. I like your idea of using the Shipping tubes though. I may try that in a few weeks when I have more time. Do you happen to have a picture of yours?

i lost all my pictures many many years ago(2001-2003), i forgot where i heard the bed sheets, idk if i was told at universal, or a rumor online. but i ended up tying the ends like a sausage and then turning the sheet inside out. i then wrapped it around the shipping tube ( i have no idea for sure what they used on screen, but remember i was told this) and then wrapped very thin bailing wire, along with idk the real name for it but it looks like the rope used to wrap shipping boxes in the old days... you can find this rope at michaels.

if i were to do this again today i wouldn't use shipping tube, because its made out of cardboard when my basement flooded they got ruined. i would use 6" pvc pipe, if you have a hard time finding that size locally, or don't want to drop the money ( it can be expensive that size) draining conduit is thinner and less expensive and will work just fine

i wish i still had those pics today...

Thanks for all the info. I greatly appreciate it. Somewhere between the craziness of the holidays and life with a little one I will try to attempt this. I might try to start a thread on it as well when I do. At least now thanks to you guys I think I have enough info to at least get the ball rolling. Thanks again.

I snagged the mini license plates from eBay that were packaged with the blu-ray re-release. Pretty cool, especially since the outatime plate is stamped. I haven't seen any like that before.

Edit: And I realize I should've put something next to them for scale. The photos make them look like they're full size :unsure
