Hi all,
I recently picked up a Black Series Mandalorian helmet and after seeing all of the inaccuracies, I decided to have a play!
Before I committed to reworking the helmet, I thought I'd give the helmet a clear coat. Just to see if I could replicate Adam Savage's results, because, why not!..
And that's that! Looks amazing. Inaccurate, but still much nicer than the flat, dull job on it as standard.
Now, onto what I'm planning..
-Strip & Repaint
-Flatten the central mowhawk strip whilst adding the missing groove around it
-Soften all of the edges
-Fix/replace the chunky earcaps
-Replace the visor
I wanted to gut all of the internals to give my large noggin a bit more room, but the helmet's rather flimsy without it, so I stuck it back in.
Here's the current state of the helmet .
It's not much right now, but it's a start.
Cheers for reading!
