Breastplate help

I'm trying to make a breastplate out of polystyrene and I need to bend it without a heat gun. Will a hairdryer get hot enough for what I need? Any other advise on a good way to bend the plastic to mold into the shape I want?

Depends on the thickness if the hairdryer will work or not. If you have some type of mold, you can heat the plastic in the oven. If you're trying to manipulate the plastic bit by bit, by hand, you're probably better to get something hotter, like a heatgun or torch.
