Help color matching PVC patches

Hello all,

I have a PVC patch I'd like to make more of, but I've had issues in the past when commissioning and printing props stickers and the like. I'll get the colors dialed in on my computer but when i send the files off to be printed they come out looking very different...

What Is the best way to to capture a color from something in real life, transfer it to a computer monitor, and send it off to be printed while insuring ensuring it comes out looking the same? when ordering PVC patches you always get charged for a minimum of 50 or so, so its very important I get this right on the first try haha.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Maybe old school snail mail with your rendering with instructions to duplicate the color. All computers may not render the same as yours.

Don't rely on your monitor to define the colour. Monitors display in RGB and prints are in CMYK and every print driver has a different solution on how to convert RBG to CMYK. I'm not sure how they create the colours for the PVC patches, but most likely that it follows a certain recipe. Try and get a swatch patch kit from the manufacturer of the patches and define your colours based on their specifications.
