Brass etched components

Hi all

I have seen brass etched replacement parts for models and wondered if anyone knew how to do it starting from scratch to make your own bits. IÂ’m just working on a project, and it has like a computer memory chip contact strip on one edge, and I wondered if I could etch my own part to use.

I have done circuit board etching, but am new to model part etching.

Any info or pointers would be good.
