Bossk build - 2015

Decided to build Bossk. He's coming along nicely now. Figure'd I'd share with y'all.

Flight suit will be finished up tomorrow. Then heavy greeblie work.. I have everything I need except the black vest, shoulder rings and neck ring.

I'm actually stuck with the shoulder and neck rings.. not really sure what the heck to use for those. I've priced out PVC couplings in that size to cut down. WAY to expensive for a chunk of pipe.. It was around $140 for one coupling in 10" diameter.. insane.. so.. still need to figure it out. Anyone have ideas on that?

Awesome job! Flight suit looks really good. I see yellow fabric laid out. Did you sew the whole thing? Also, can you tell me where your patches and leg flair equipment came from?

Yep. I sewed the whole thing.. Started with a pattern for coveralls and modded like crazy from there. Used 10oz duck cloth in bananas & cream .. http://www.bigduckcanvas.com/10-oz-cotton-duck/by-the-yard/bananas-cream/ The white bits here and there are either chunks of white muslin (no idea how to spell that) fabric or rolls of elastic or webbing. etc..

patches I had made by a patch person I know locally.

leg flair.. not sure what you mean.. if you mean all the equipment all over it, hand made everything. hours walking around in home improvement stores finding the right stuff and thinking WAY outside the box. leg cylinders are aluminum from someone producing them for x-wing pilots (same cylinders, just Bossk has 1 extra one per leg)

Vest finished.. I figured out the neck and arm rings.. They are connectors for large plastic drain pipes.. LOL. 8" for the arm rings and 10" for the neck.. They are almost done.. just finishing them up then a new picture.

All done.. First troop was to the Star Wars The Force Awakens Premier at the Star Wars themed Alamo Draft House in Omaha.



Submission to 501st Legion submitted.

Neck has been slightly modified, tapered in towards the top with extra 3/4" added as well. This will prevent the mask from popping out.

More weathering will happen. I'm too clean.
