I'm not a Batman fan, but I think that is really cool. :thumbsup

Edit: I used to be a huge BatMan fan as a teen in '89-'90 though. I loved the scenography and had plans for a fan-film.

My next thread will be about my new 1/1 likeness bust of frosty the snowman. Only quality carrots will be used for the nose... I expect a huge post count. huge.

Now that Frosty news is COOL. :p

What medium do the cave walls consist? And were the walls pulled from molds?
Expound please.

:D

I always love to see your amazing work so don't stop posting about it.

Is the Tumbler nearly finished?

I get the same thing sometimes. Remember, if the post isn't about a Star Wars widget or Serenity/Firefly, you'll probably have a low post count.

Nice walls, though.

:)

Any plans on making a "vault" to frame the suit? I think it would be fitting to have grappling guns and other equipment hanging on a rack next to it.

I love it when people make an immersive environment around their props. So much better than the usual clutter people post. (I'm probably getting flamed for saying this... :angel )

I doubt you'll be flamed for saying that but it IS fortunate the Bobs have enough room to make this environment. Most people I know have a corner of a room to display their collection.

:)

Very nice but WHY Kilmer?.?.?

;)

It would be perfect IMO if only it were a Keaton Returns outfit back there.

VERY, VERY cool...

Sweet. I look forward to seeing more.
AAHHHH to have the funds (and the room) to be able to do things like that would be grand.
I'm jealous.

that is friggen sweet - got a question though the photo of batman beyond, is that actuall video or just a picture? that wpuld be cool if you had a dvd player or computer playing all different batman movies/shows on loop.

Someone asked why kilmer. This has to do with the whole prop environment someone else mentioned above. After 15 some yrs. of building this stuff, I found myself surrounded by LOTS of stuff, but not much really completed to the point of having a complete collection of a singular movie or theme. That's when the costumes and props all start to seem like a bunch of "stuff". So what we try to do is pick a movie (we are batman fanatics), and stay focused. Having all the main stuff from one movie is a HUGE undertaking, and takes up quite a bit of room. Bob C's focus is Batman Forever(all the suits, alfred, car, weapons) Mine is Batman Begins(both suits, car, closet, etc..). And then instead of building new batman stuff, try to upgrade, and improve what we have. Functionality, appearance, etc..

Sometimes our post/view count is so low, it seems like we could part the red sea without much hubub. Almost like why bother post. It could be that the fan base here is star wars. I think it may be just the way pop culture is in our society. what grabs people is unpredictable, and sometimes just simple stuff that people can relate to because everyone has one, or can get one.

I appreciate your posts. It's great to be able to see such amazing work. I usually don't say anything becuase it'll just end up being "dood u roxxors" or "sweet". These pieces are truly amazing though and I am consistently stunned with the level of realism present in these figures.

Don't stop posting. You'll be cheating my eyes.

With some showoff threads, the work is so perfect, so often, and in many cases, already finished, that it doesn't leave viewers with anything to say but "wow" and that can seem redundant.

I have appreciated all the pics you've shared with us here (and on other boards). I'm also always curious about the some of the materials and techniques you've used on various projects, even if it's as mundane as how the rock wall was acheived, or how you got your hands on such large seamless tubes, what kind of silicone did you use to cast Alfred, etc.
