Been watching this right from the start because I am obviously a big Ironman fan and I must say I am blow away by the amount of work you are putting into this. When I first saw the MK XLII I feel in love with it. The chest is a little too tank-topish for my tastes but thats just me being picky. I know if it was a bit more beefy then it wouldnt look right. Any ways, I can not wait till you are all done because I will be using this as my reference for sculpting the suit. I just started my first sculpt and am loving it. After seeing Davy's bust its made me want this suit even more now and hope mine comes any where near as close to his craftmanship and your eye for detail.

I just want to say one thing... You guys (Darkside, dlowrider, Neuer, and many more) are the reason I'm trying to get my hands on Solidworks and do some 3D modeling. And after watching Iron man, I really have motivation to try to do a full Iron man suit...

Solidworks is a nice CAD program :cool maybe my next project will be handled with it

Actually the models are not accurate (in some places) in terms of edgeflow and topology (clearly can see that proboolean is one of his beloved tools). But even Proboolean is not accurate cutting tool still it's sometimes necessary to use it. I mostly like Neuer's way of modeling. Keep it up pal! :cool

okay... But those detail lines are killing me too!! I'm sometimes just a second away from booling. But it's always better not to use bool operations

Cant wait for files to be available and start building I found really nice material material for building its craft plastik 500x250x3 mm in sheet various colors and really easy to work with just put it under light bulb let it heat up for aprox 30-40 secs and you can bend it in form you need:
