Blair Witch (Post-release)

Blair witch new movie

Ok,so I am making this thread to see if its just me that I am getting older and perhaps wiser/bitter.I watched this movie a few days ago, beside the normal dizzy running scared shaking camera, this movie failed to deliver any kinda scare(even if you count the cliche of your friend touching your shoulder with an obnoxious loud sound).I am an older guy but i get scared very easily, shoot,my policy is never watch a scary movie alone and if its at night, all lights must be on(even the fridge one) and this movie I did watch it at night, all lights off(with gf just in case things get weird) and I didnt get no sort of stomach gulp moment.
I am not going to try an explain the movie,so this is more for the people that has watch it,if someone would like me to go why I think this movie is so bad I can do that.Few places talk about how the movie was made with only a budget of 5 mill and made 44 million,as to try to make you think it is somewhat good, but failed to mention the studio spent 20+ mill just on promoting it.Please I need to see the light, why the studios are making remakes(this movie may not be but has all the familiar symptoms of one)and make it so bad.I have asked few people and all want their 89 minutes or at least their money back.

I asked my GF(she works and has worked for couple of the big studios in burbank)what age demographic this movie was for,and had no idea, she thinks 10 to 16 year olds, but the rated R makes us think is for adults with a 10 to 16 year old mentality...I vented, feel free to continue your day.

I lost interest in wanting to see it for some reason, I don't remember anymore. I ended up watching a review thst talked about it and even the twist on the witch mythology at the end. I don't regret not watching it.

I am in the same boat. Thought it looked interesting, had some good VERY early buzz, then I just lost interest. The reviews I read confirmed that it was a good idea to skip it.
